DAY 5 AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT OPTIONS: Answer the EQ citing specific text evidence. Introduce/reinforce the reading skill of the unit. Students should work on strengthening this skill as they read. Preview vocabulary. PRIMARY sources Incorporate directed turn and talk, questioning with wait time, etc. Follow text marking prompts. Complete the Unit Show as You Go activity. See other suggestions in the pacing guide. The Primary Source Library offers an excellent opportunity for students to strengthen their reading skills in Cluster 3. Each lesson provides multiple primary sources for comparison with questions and a task attached. Teachers are encouraged to utilize this library as a literacy center throughout the week.
