Before coming to prison I thought I had everything together. Not once did I think I would have landed myself here. I came from an abusive family where anything I did wrong would result in some form of punishment, which caused me to be closed off to any form of communication. This led me to seek my own path. The road that I chose wasn t always the greatest due to my young age and lack of wisdom. I chose undesirable role models to pattern my life after. I also grew up selfcentered, disregarding my parenting obligations, and leaving my children to my former significant other to handle by her self. Since entering the A.I.P. program I have learned how my decisions affect everyone around me. It has given me the opportunity to evaluate my life and make the proper adjustments to ensure that I live a happy healthy pro social life as a positive contributor to my community, as well as be the father that my daughter needs and deserves. 3 On, 8/26/15, DOC s satellite provider for inmate television informed DOC of a contract dispute between the network that broadcasts local channels and DISH network. The broadcaster has pulled their signal from DISH service. DOC is working with our vendor to stay on top of the issue and provide alternative programming if the issue is not resolved soon. Local channels may include ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, and PBS. 3-day Retreat for Women Who Have a Relative or Friend in Prison October 23-25, 2015 At the Christian Retreat & Conference Center Turner, Oregon This is a no cost Christian weekend retreat sponsored by Kairos Outside for women 20+ years old. Weekend retreats are usually held twice per year and last from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. ($6.00 per meal) You don t have to buy a meal for each guest. Guests must be on approved visitor list. Please include the number of guests, name/age of guests and their relationship to you on the communication form.
