Enhance the image of pediatric emergency medicine as a credible academic discipline with its own research agenda. Develop cohesiveness between centers involved in the practice of pediatric emergency medicine. Guest Speaker - Dr. Anupam Kharbanda Dr. Kharbanda joins us from Children s Minnesota, Minneapolis, where he is the Chief of critical care and pediatric emergency medicine. Presentation title: Pediatric Appendicitis: Advancing Quality and Safety Learning Objectives: - This presentation will review the current state of appendicitis evaluation and management in the Emergency Department setting as well as gaps in quality that exist nationally. - Methods to improve diagnosis will also be discussed.
