2 3 - Membership Report from Membership Secretary 3.1 Current membership 3.2 Increase/Decrease year-on-year attrition and gain 3.3 Need for new recruits? 4 Newsletter 4.1 Regularity Considerable workload to produce but is felt to be essential for communication with non-attending members New routes of communication (web/facebook/whatsapp) means that monthly newsletter not always necessary Submissions, suggestions and help always welcome 4.2 Readership rates 4.3 How well received? 4.4 Suggestions for improvements? 5 - Charitable work Position Open 5.1 Tracey Hill has had to step back due to work re-location Volunteers for role are welcome 5.2 Decision was taken to split fundraising and charity work between North West Air Ambulance and Blood Bikes Funds raised to date 5.3 Max: John Young s 50/50 Challenge is currently collected 7.5k for the Donna Louise Charity, well on the way to exceed the target 10k in the year. Should we make a significant branch donation? How much? 5.4 We welcome suggestions for other suitable charities, and we would prefer them to be biker-related in some way

3 6 - Meeting Venue 6.1 New venue due to temporary closure and overall unsuitability of Arden Arms 6.2 Is Navigation Inn large enough? 6.3 Can Navigation Inn cope with Concourse Evening? 6.4 Catering is widely appreciated but is it adequate? 6.5 Should we consider alternative venues? Suggestions? 7 - Items for National Branch AGM 7.1 No real interest or activism at national level is this OK?

4 8 - Activities 8.1 Fortnightly meetings Enough? Too many? Suggestions for events? Calendar booked for 12 months First Tuesday events. CCM are booked for 1st May. Concours is in June. More events being arranged for the rest of the year. 8.2 Weekend run-outs Scheduled rides now published at one per month with varied Days and start times Members to continue with ad-hoc set-up to lead/arrange runs Enough? Too many? Timing? Suggestions for destinations? Hell s Mouth Greg s Weekend away Max: Wynnstay Inn, Machynlleth, Wales has invited us to try their facilities. They are biker friendly and have some great riding in the area to show us. They can accommodate parties of up to 14. Weekend away? From Max: Website calendar has been populated by many bike related events to which we may wish to take official ride outs or members may wish to go to themselves separately. 21/22 April Stafford Classic Bike show. 7th May Houghton Tower Sprint 11-13th May You ve Been Nabbed Rally, Tabley 12/13th May Ashley Traction Rally 25th July Gawsworth Jesters Bike Night. Always a good Wednesday ride out and meet up each year. 8.3 Summer weekday evening runs Is there any interest? If there is sufficient interest, there could be three summer run-outs: Golden Peasant Plumley/Knutsford Wine Press Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough Rivington View Blackrod Can be arrange ad-hoc via WhatsApp Group Suggestions welcome

5 8.4 Shows and exhibitions Only Event City confirmed Max & Kate organised Big thank you for everyone who helped at this year s Manchester Bike Show. Probably the best show we have done yet. A full report shall appear in Nacelle soon TriFest at Youles on April 21 st (Saturday) Bonneville 60 celebration Ken Talbot 14-16th September Bonneville 60 at Uttoxeter Racecourse. We have been invited to set up a stand for our branch Max: Why not attend other TOMCC branch rallies this year. E.g. Rother branch Rabbit Rally mid July. Kate and I shall be riding down Any suggestions? 8.5 Concourse night Tuesday June 5 th at Navigation Inn Will invite other/neighbouring branches Will advertise/promote in Nacelle Prize Categories? - Best Meriden/earlier - Best Hinckley - Best Non-Triumph - Best Visitor - Best In Show - Peoples Choice? How to vote? Slips for Peoples Choice as last year? Trophies need summat decent. What sort of budget? 120 quid last year 8.6 Summer BBQ Just broke even in quid profit Is there any demand for 2018? Organisers?

6 8.7 Music Night Postponed in 2016 for reasons beyond our control Any interest? 8.8 Monyash Sunday August 5 th Co-ordinator? Provision of free food via café was stopped in 2015 and no adverse effect. Should we do the same again? Fundraising Charity only, or charity less expenses? 8.9 Halloween Dinner Is there any interest 8.10 Christmas dinner Is there any interest? Very poor response to newsletter appeal 8.11 Website & Facebook Graham Cliffe Website completely re-built Statistics report Is now secure following hacking event Hope to improve regularity of updates with contributions from members Facility to upload photies Chat/discussion facility.

7 8.12 WhatsApp Group Group set up to notify members regrading ride-outs Has almost 50 members Has rapidly evolved into banter group Proposal to set up separate Notification Only group which will carry only ride-out notifications and no comment, discussion or banter Banter Group will also receive Notification but will permit comment, discussion and banter Members can choose not to receive alerts from Banter group Any further suggestions? 8.13 Speedway Night 8.14 Aintree Racing Max: a number of members like to meet up for this mad fast sport at Belle Vue new stadium. Mainly on Monday nights this season Max: another season of this amazing racing begins 12th May. Last year we got some complimentary tickets and those who rode out to it enjoyed it Garage Parties Max: wiling to host another garage party if there is sufficient interest Club has a policy of being active for its members and being seen to be active by non-members

8 9 Mike Moss bequest 9.1 Former runs captain Mike Moss is no longer able to ride a bike and has given all of his bike gear to the club to sell in order to raise money for club funds. 9.2 A Flickr Page showing all the items is available 9.3 Suggested donations for each item have been agreed 9.4 Anyone wishing to acquire an item should contact Graham 9.5 It has been proposed that any funds received from this action should go towards acquiring a high-quality trophy, to be known as the Mike Moss Trophy, which will be presented to one club member each year 9.6 The criteria for being presented the trophy have yet to be decided Club member of the Year? How to select? Most ride-outs attended? Any other suggestions? 10 - Any other business? 10.1 Max: Biker Down Courses available throughout the year to learn simple first aid for bikers.
