5 GIFTS BEYOND THE BUDGET PHPC.ORG The annual pledges and commitments made to PHPC allow our worship and discipleship to be shaped by the many ways we are called to trust that all belong to God. There are seasons and occasions that move us to give above and beyond our usual commitments, and you are invited to use this Giving Catalog as a resource for directing your gifts. Contributions made directly to PHPC and our selected organizations are tax deductible. Your gifts will be used by each organization to carry out their identified mission to serve communities, families, and individuals through programs and services created out of love, compassion, and justice. Undesignated funds empower organizations to serve the most pressing needs in our communities.

6 CITYSQUARE CITYSQUARE.ORG CitySquare fights the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy and friendship. CitySquare offers a comprehensive array of social services that address four key areas related to the persistence of poverty: hunger, health, housing, and hope. Together, our 17 social service programs provide more than 50,000 human touches in Dallas, Waco, and Denver, Colorado. 8 EPIPHANY MINISTRY PHPC.ORG/MISSION Epiphany Ministry serves youth and young adults (age 16+) with special needs to participate in worship, fellowship, and fun! In addition to a dedicated Sunday School class, the Life and Arts program is a day respite program offering a variety of engaging and meaningful activities, such as yoga, nutrition classes, art, and gardening. 12 PHPC REFUGEE & IMMIGRATION MINISTRY PHPC.ORG/MISSION The PHPC Refugee & Immigration Ministry Team is dedicated to offering welcome to families starting new lives and homes in our neighborhoods. The team serves as a social network for families as they overcome language and cultural barriers to connect with education, employment, healthcare, and social emotional needs. In coordination with partnering organizations, the team walks alongside families on the path to safety and self-sufficiency. 14 PRESBYTERIAN CHILDREN S HOMES AND SERVICES PCHAS.ORG Presbyterian Children s Homes and Services provides Christcentered care and support to children and families in need by offering a variety of residential and community-based programs across three states, along with initiatives to empower churches to support foster care families. PCHAS also provides support for adoption, single parents, and teenagers aging out of the foster care system. 16 THE STEWPOT T H E S T E W P O T. O R G The Stewpot offers a safe haven for homeless and atrisk individuals of Dallas. The Stewpot provides casework assistance and enrichment programs to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, as well as Children & Youth and Family Stabilization programs to at-risk children and their families. Since May 2008, the Stewpot has been the sole meal provider at The Bridge Homeless Recover y Center, ser ving 1,000 meals per day, 7 days per week. 18 LITERACY ACHIEVES LITERACYACHIEVES.ORG Literacy Achieves was founded in 1997 as the flagship mission of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. Originally established as Vickery Meadow Learning Center, our initial mission was to help adults learn English in nearby Vickery Meadow a neighborhood with thousands of immigrants and refugees. Today, Literacy Achieves serves approximately 1,100 adult students and 330 young children annually at campus locations in Vickery Meadow, West Dallas and East Dallas. The following are examples of how financial gifts may be used by this organization in pursuit of its mission to serve individuals and communities with love.

PHPC is committed to serving and supporting McShan s administration, faculty, students and their families to ensure all students are supported in their pursuit of academic achievement and future success. 22 MI ESCUELITA MIESCUELITA.ORG Mi Escuelita helps preschool-age children receive a qualified and enriching education that prepares them to enter kindergarten. Each year, more than 85% of children transitioning from Mi Escuelita qualify to enter English-speaking Kindergarten classrooms. This alleviates the need for higher-cost bilingual education and enables children to avoid remedial English education.
