De Marco, LL.B, Ph.D Burnet Avenue Union, New Jersey Tel: Fax: Instructions For Craving/Obsessive Thought Removal (This technique may be used for any addiction.gambling, drugs, alcohol and any habit) As cravings, needs and obsessive thoughts are the enemies of behavior change, we must address this compelling force now and on a continuing basis. As a result of many years of scientific tests, it has been recognized that most cravings/obsessive thoughts last only for under two minutes. How many times did you have a desire or craving for something or obsessive thoughts to do something, and then someone called you or something happened to take your mind off of the craving or obsessive thoughts, and thereafter you completely forgot about it and no longer desired that something? Well, we know that, in reflexology, every part of the human body is represented in the hands (as well as the feet). The first joint of the thumb is representative of our power to focus, to gain insight into all of the functions of our body and mind. You have the ability to identify the craving and dispel it, remove it from your body, mind and spirit. Use the thumb and index finger of either hand and slowly rub or massage on the first joint of the thumb in a circle while slowly counting to 100. Imagine your safe place or anything that is pleasurable to you. There is no need to close your eyes, unless it is safe to do so. Never while driving an automobile.. We want your subconscious mind to grasp this repeated craving/obsessive thought removal activity, therefore you must start practicing rubbing your thumb in a slow circle before you have a craving or desire or obsessive thought. The thumb-rubbing motion then becomes a very reliable trigger, (a mental reflex which results in psychological or physical activity) and the alleviation and elimination of the craving/obsessive thought will become a conditioned reflex occasioned by your subconscious mind which automatically sends messages to your body, your conscious mind and emotional state. Start as soon as you learn the process and repeat it often. Repetition, repetition, repetition. We all receive body and mind signals but sometimes do not pay attention to them, nor interpret them when we receive them. Every person who has cravings/thoughts knows when they are coming on before they take root or take a grip. This is the time to reap the benefits of this tool with repeated practice. With the thumb and forefinger of either hand, start rubbing the first joint of the thumb in a slow circle while slowly counting to 100. See and feel the craving/thoughts disappear. Note: In the past, some people have had cravings/obsessive thoughts as many as 20 or 30 or more times a day, so if you fit into that category on occasion, you must rub your thumb in accordance with the above procedure as often as a craving, urge or desire occurs. This is a small price to pay to overcome these enemies of change.

You have heard it before that change begins right now, that the accomplishment of your goals begins right now, and that your visualizations are ones of attainment and rehearsals, and not merely desires. All affirmations are stated daily in the present tense, positively, and with passion. Suggested List. Choose The Affirmations That Most Suit You. Saying all is fine. I am urge free.i am free I choose to leave all thoughts of winning to fulfill financial obligations behind and being abstinent from gambling makes this happen, and I like that. I choose to leave all aggravation to me and others behind and being abstinent from gambling makes this happen, and I like that. All obsessive thoughts about slot machines or any other form of alcoholic gambling have left me forever, and I am happy about this. I am free from obsessive thoughts.i am free I refuse to be a slave to gambling any longer. I am free. I refuse to be a slave to gambling I turn my back on slot machines, and any other form of gambling. I turn my back on gambling. I am free to think about my own positive choices so that I enjoy a good life I am free from playing slot machines or any other kind of gambling. I am gambling-free.i am free.i am free.i am free It is my own voluntary and free choice to stop playing slot machines, or any other form of gambling.i am free.

4 I am independent and stand on my own two feet. All reliance upon gambling has left me. I rely upon myself and that is great for that is how I used to feel when I was young and not a slave to gambling, and now I feel younger and younger with being abstinent. I learn how to occupy my weekends and my spare time without gambling. I forever turn my back on gambling. I am strong and getting stronger and stronger every day. I am gambling-free.i am free I am an intelligent woman and persevere in my activities to earn money through work. I am abstinent from gambling so that I work great with a clear head. I do really great work. I am proud of my abstinence. I have been successful in many things in the past, and I am successful in refusing to play slot machines or to engage in any other form of gambling.. I am successful. I am successful. I am successful. I am determined and accomplish abstinence with a relaxed and positively programmed mind. I am determined and relaxed. I am determined and relaxed. Determined, relaxed. I fully realize that I am powerless over gambling, and my life has become unmanageable, however when I turn my back on gambling, I take back complete control over my life, I take back my power. I have all the resources that I need for joy, peace, happiness and serenity.
