2 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 12/10 Present Pura Vida Counseling Services, PLLC, Pharr, TX Contract/Counselor: Provide Individual counseling services to individuals with substance abuse/dependence disorder. Work closely with Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS) to provide counseling services to individuals referred to program. 08/11 05/13 The Sendero Group, PLLC, McAllen, TX Consultant: Provide consultant services to the agency in regards to substance abuse related issues. Provide contractual services with agency to local school districts, including daily seminars and life skills building to children and adolescents. 04/05-08/10 Palmer Drug Abuse Program, McAllen, TX Program Director: Responsible for the programmatic aspect of Palmer Drug Abuse Program and coordinate all programs. Direct and supervise the development of specific projects as deemed necessary to improve and strengthen the program. Responsible for the evaluation of services offered at Palmer Drug Abuse Program and for making recommendations and implementations to improve those services. Work closely with the Board of Directors as a co-liaison to various other community organizations including rehabilitative, educational, civic, and judicial organizations.
