3 3 Youth Education and Support (YES) program. J. Riebschleger is Primary Investigator. Daniel Cavanaugh (MSU social work doctoral student) is Graduate Assistant. This is a PIdeveloped manualized, 10-session research pilot program to increase middle school students levels of mental health literacy. Targeted for children that have a parent or other family member with a mental health disorder. Working toward development of an evidence based program. Mental Health Knowledge for Youth. J. Riebschleger is Primary Investigator. Co-PIs are Sarah Swierenga (MSU Outreach) and Tony Beyer (Social work). Daniel Cavanaugh is Graduate Assistant. Tusani Gates (senior, MSU psychology senior) is outreach research worker. Courtney Hatfield (MSU undergraduate social work program senior) helps develop content. This is a youth-informed research project to develop a research and youth-informed, accessible website for providing accurate, non-stigmatized mental health information for youth ages (and beyond) that have a parent or other family member with a mental health disorder. The site will be opening in mid Funding is from the Gerstacker Foundation. Parental Mental Illness and the Family Court. Joanne Riebschleger is primary investigator. Student research volunteers include Carolyn Sutherby (MSU social work doctoral Student) and Myia Hall (MSU psychology senior). This is a qualitative study of parents reporting that they have a mental health disorder and have experience appearing in the family court system. Parents describe their court-related experiences and offer recommendations for ways the family court system could work more effectively with parents with have mental health disorders. National Child Welfare Workforce Initiative (NCWWI). Traineeships portion PI is Gary R. Anderson. Joanne Riebschleger is consultant. Regular involvement in program implementation oversight and evaluation, including generation of field notes and reports related to direct consultation with three national sites.
