1 What is 7-TJUGO (7-TWENTY)? It is a method of relating -we teach people who in different ways work with young people coming into adulthood It is a methodological material -to use in this work which supports the supervisor (mentor) to use the approach
2 The 4 parts in our platform: 1. Existential point of view A belief in all peoples equal value A belief in each individuals ability to make their own decisionsbased on their own (life) experiences. A belief in all peoples intrinsic will to a meaningful existence. 2. Method of involvement (or involvement education) A process must always start by creating a relation Create important and meaningful relationships with the participants To evaluate the business/activity together with the participants and involve them in future planning
3 The 4 parts in our platform: 3. Consequence reasoning (or impact education) Not to make decisions for the participants but to let them maketheir own choices To communicate possible consequences of different choices/alternatives To inform the participants that there is always at least two choices That not to choose is also a choice 4. Solution focused approach Is a un-knowing position and the core philosophy that: When you know what works do more of it When it doesn t work do something else If it is not broken don t fix it If it goes too slowly reduce your speed (are you sure?)
4 Klippans Approach: To remain curiously unknowing and curiously invaluable and to be prepared to use ourselves as a tool in our relating with young people, in order to provide a frame of reference and support for them when making choices.

7 The Jurys motivation was: If 73% of the students who had chosen not to take part in the schools education (truanted) left the 9 th grade with approved grades, then the model must be worth noticing. If the school also choose to educate their staff in using the approach and model which achieved this, then this is admirable. When you on top of this introduce this model as an obligatory part of life skills as taught in year 7, then each one of us realise this projects survival is reaching 100%. In Dalarna they implement a class 9a journey throughout the whole school but without TV crew following them. (In Sweden they did a well-known documentary following an underachieving class after introducing specialist education workers to see what effect this would have)
