3 Dear colleagues, friends, and students, On behalf of Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, I would like to welcome you all to Mansoura International Instructional Course on Rhinoplasty. The main goal of our meeting is to provide a platform for the pioneers of Plastic Surgery to interact with each other and to familiarize the participants with the state of art of Rhinoplasty field. Four days full of live surgery and up-to-date lectures of such subspecialty deserve to be attended, so don't hesitate!! Wish you a wonderful stay and great memories. Prof. Farha El Chenawi Dean, Mansoura Faculty of Medicine Dear colleagues I am very pleased to introduce our training course on State of Art of Rhinoplasty, which will take place in Mansoura from1-4 November, The course will go on as follows: In the morning some operations will be carried out (live surgery) by famous surgeons from Italy and Egypt who will talk about the up to date techniques of functional and aesthetic nose surgery. In the afternoon, no less stimulating, theory will have priority over practice, all participants largely debating various issues by lectures and panels' discussions. The course will take place at the Mansoura Student Hospital inside the university territory. I am looking forward to meeting a great many of you in Mansoura. 4 Dakahlia Governorate Mansoura city Dakahlia Governorate is located in the East Delta region. Its population is 4.3 millions; representing 7.2% of Egypt's total population.it is ranked in population as the third among the 26 Governorates of Egypt. The surrounding governorates are: to the east, El-Sharkia, to the west, El-Garbia and kafr El-Sheik, to the south, El-Kalubia while Damietta is to the north east. The city of Mansoura is the capital of the Governorate, located on the east bank of Damietta branch of t he nile with the city Talkha laying on the western bank. It covers about 24.8 square kilometers. It is population mounts to The city is 60 km from the Mediterranean Sea, where Gamasa is located. It is 120 km from Cairo and is connected with a net of transportations. The train and busses are the most important ones. Mansoura (victorious) was named after the victory achieved over King Louis IX, the King of France in 1250, when he tried to invade the city during the seventh crusade campaign. He was captured in the house of the judge Ibn-Lukman which is now a museum, and the seventh of May, became the national day of the Governorate.
