Under this broad scope, there are three specific themes that can be used to classify the research projects I am undertaking and hope to further pursue. The first domain is health services research. I aim to investigate health systems in both the national and international contexts, particularly dealing with how they move forward and reform in relation to changes in supply, demand and other external forces of the health care market. This will tie in with studies looking more specifically into the corresponding health policies such as universal health coverage and social determinants of health. Last but not least, narrowing down to the microeconomic level, I would like to synthesize and produce practical findings that would aid in informing policy decisions, with the applications of health economic theories and health technology assessment. Under this broad scope, there are three specific themes that can be used to classify the research projects I am undertaking and hope to further pursue. The first domain is health services research. I aim to investigate health systems in both the national and international contexts, particularly dealing with how they move forward and reform in relation to changes in supply, demand and other external forces of the health care market. This will tie in with studies looking more specifically into the corresponding health policies such as universal health coverage and social determinants of health. Last but not least, narrowing down to the microeconomic level, I would like to synthesize and produce practical findings that would aid in informing policy decisions, with the applications of health economic theories and health technology assessment.
