I serve on the Executive Team which guides the strategic directions for the agency and is responsible for the overall management of the organization. My direct responsibilities include overseeing fundraising, internal and external communications, and leading our community access work. My role involves program design, internal and external relationship building, business development, and I have lead several organizational change initiatives including strategic planning. My technical contributions include pioneering work on stigma starting from the publication of a conceptual framework leading to multicountry research and the establishment of an international network. I have championed the need for woman centered care and programs, the need to work with youth, and work with communities. MacArthur Foundation Responsible for $12 million in grants Led international site visits by Board members to grantees Developed grantmaking strategies in seven different topic areas Reviewed hundreds of proposals and provided technical support to applicants Developed the Foundation s grant-making strategies in seven topics: sexual and reproductive health and rights in India; global reproductive health and rights; US foreign policy; human rights; population, consumption and the environment; health sector reform; and US leadership in population issue. In addition, I developed monitoring and evaluation frameworks for the Foundation and grantees, organized meetings with influential stakeholders, and made presentations to Board of Directors, staff, and external partners.
