2 Women and Girls Economic and Social Empowerment 1-Name -Women and Girls Economic and Social Empowerment 2- location of the project- LPSS Fashion Design& Tailoring Institute for Women. Street No-3 Amit Gram (Gujjar Plot), Janglat Road, Gumaniwala, Rishikesh. District: Dehradun. Uttarakhand. (India) Pincode Project Requirement: In the rural areas of Dehradun district, the original ghost facility is still disadvantaged. The area is remote and backward region. People living in this area live in rural areas from various different states. Those who have come here for employment, whose wages do not get even on time and remain in search of employment. And these people cannot even get employment on time, two speakers are not fortunate. Unable to feed their families completely. With the absence of shortage of resources, their children's education situation is quite pitiable. For their children to feed their children, they have begun to make fun of the two-hour roti. Which is not complete for roti in full time. The people of forest Gujjar and minority and Scheduled castes are residing, whose education is 6-7 children of each family. Lok Paryavaran Siksha Sansthan conducted the survey and conducted the Sewing Measures Training and Beautician Teachers Basic Computer Training Program to connect women and young women and youth of the poor families with employment. By working with the poor women of rural areas and teaching them the lesser educated youth and young people, and working with the bank to facilitate the loan, that the poor families can become better

3 The focus of this skill training initiative is on income generation activities for local women which can be accomplished from home in one s free time. The skill training/skill enhancement programmes being introduced are need-felt programmes highlighted by the target beneficiaries. These are Challenges Identified: Since the LPSS beneficiaries are all young girls or women, marketing their skills to a wider clientele to ensure a viable long-term income source poses a serious challenge. To overcome this challenge LPSS has now decided to create a market niche for this tailoring activity with outlets and clientele in government departments, police and security personnel, targeting their need for clothing. LPSS is also making inroads into the marriage market targeting bridalwear. This latter demand is a highly productive, high profit segment and though seasonal activity, serves to provide money benefits for the entire year. 2. Details of the situation of the area
