November 2018 The JetHawks Journal The Official Newsletter of the Flight Crew Booster Club Words From the Chair Chairman Notes With the season over we as members of the booster club can enjoy a few months to get ready for the 2019 season. Your Board of Directors is in the planning mode for the new season at our monthly meetings. If you have any comments or suggestions for the booster club 2019 season contact a board member our contact information is located in this newsletter. The Board members wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. During December the JetHawks and KB visit children s organizations to greet and pass out presents. The Booster Club supports this effort and encourages members to bring a present or two to the GM meeting on 6 December. If you can t attend the meeting you can still donate by contacting Suzie Berg for pick up prior to 6 December. This is a worthwhile project and I encourage members to give back to the community. The web site has been revised and looks quite spectacular thanks to Judy Hopps who spent an intensive month restructuring the web site. A list of merchants who supported the club throughout the year is located on the web site under the pull down titled sponsors. Please consider using our sponsors when shopping for the upcoming holidays. November is the month when MLB recognizes the players who excelled during the 2018 season. A few of the awards are AL and NL MVP, Cy Young Award, Managers of the year, and other categories. Look for the winners on MLB.com. Tree Lot Bake Sale Bakers needed for annual Dallas tree lot bake sale. Friday, Saturday, Sunday Dec 14,15,16. Please bring your favorite Christmas goodies to the tree lot located by the Elks lodge on East Ave K. We also need workers for the 6 pm -9 pm shifts on Friday, and Saturday. Contact Wendy Ball at windafer@ yahoo.com to sign up. Thanks for making this a great fund raiser for the Booster Club.

Sunshine Corner The Sunshine Corner is a way for us to acknowledge birthdays and to send support to families experiencing a loss or an illness.
