2 Main tasks of our department: To coordinate HIV restriction policy implementation (HIV/AIDS Programm ) ; To provide an epidemiological surveillance of HIV/AIDS and STI at national level; To plan and provide HIV/AIDS un STI prevention activities To train and educate public, selective groups, PLWHA and individuals; To co-ordinate harm reduction measures (HIV prevention network)

3 Other tasks of Infectology Center: Treatment, follow up and care of PLWHA; Treatment and care for tuberculosis, STI and other infectious diseases; Reference laboratory for infectious diseases, incl. HIV infection

4 Main topics of the Programm: 1. Harm reduction (syringe exchange - councelling); 2. Maintence programm and health care for IDUs; 3. In prisons: to improve diagnostic, knowledge of staff, to introduce harm reduction programs and to involve NGOs in trainings of prisoners; 4. To improve public knowledge/skills about HIV prevention; 5. To ensure quality of counselling and incriese testing activities; 6. To improve health care and to organize evidence based studies; 7. To ensure tuberculosis and other oportunistic infections diagnostic for PLWHA; 8. To take a part in international projects
