1 Lab Animal Health Screening & Biological Sample Testing FELASA profile in 7 days!
2 Your Lab Animal Health Surveillance Partner We believe our work adds value to scientific research, and that every facility must provide guarantees of cleanliness, hygiene, animal welfare and quality to the various research groups it works for (its clients). reliable and quick results is what customers are after. This is why we process animals and samples immediately, i.e. we do not house in the animals. there is always road for improvement ; that is why we are never satisfied with false positives or doubtful results. We check these twice. a solution to almost everything can always be found. If there is something you are after, let us know: we will find it for you! Key features: Speed. We provide complete FELASA profiles in 7 days. Experience. Our team has over 20 years experience in the diagnosis of lab animal infections and clinical diagnosis. Reliability. Any doubtful result(s) is/are retested and corroborated if necessary. Real time results. You will be obtaining results from the moment we start working on your samples, and as soon as these become available. Personalised attention. We offer personalized attention to our customers.

14 Individual Sample Testing SEROLOGIES DYNAMIMED offers a complete screening panel to study viral pathogens, bacteria and other parasites found in rodents following FELASA s recommendations. These tests are carried out by in order to detect specific pathogen antibodies in serum. In addition, we offer you the possibility to design your own serological profile adapted to your specific needs. Individual serology assays are available too. 17 Individual Sample Testing MOLECULAR DETECTION OF PATHOGENS The molecular detection of microorganisms can discriminate the presence or absence of genetic material of pathogens, by RT- or as appropriate. At DYNAMIMED, molecular detections are carried out routinely in our standard screening panels. However, we also design customized molecular tests to detect genetic material from any pathogen you may be interested in. PREVALENT PATHOGENS PROFILE / RT- IN FAECES VIRUSES BACTERIA RT- Murine noroviruses (MNV) Reovirus type 3 (REO3) Theiller s murine virus TMEV (GDVII) Mouse hepatitis virus (MHV) Epizootic diarrhea of infant mice (EDIM) Minute virus of mice (MVM) Murine parvoviruses (MPV, H1, KRV, RPV, RMV ) MAD-1 Murine adenovirus FL MAD-2 Murine adenovirus K87 Helicobacter spp Samples required : minimum 3 fresh faecal pellets (maximum 10) (refrigerated shipping). Speed and simplicity of sampling, Minor exposure to the above pathogens by technicians, Confirmation of positive results and pathogen strain determination can be carried out by sequencing.
18 Individual Sample Testing MICROBIOLOGICAL Samples from live animals are routinely collected from respiratory and enteric tracts using aseptic techniques. At Dynamimed we go one step further and gather swabs from lesions and/or any other abnormalities detected during necropsy. This service includes a thorough search for any bacterial species that are considered primary and opportunistic pathogens, as recommended by FELASA. The agent identification is carried out using biochemical methods. We always provide additional reports informing about any commensal - normally not pathogenic - and opportunistic bacteria growing on the media. Do not hesitate to forward any sample you wish to test, indicating its source, and what are you after. PATHOLOGY SERVICES Our pathology department, efficiently managed by our veterinary medicine professionals, has over two decades experience in animal pathology. We offer: Sampling of cells and tissues (biopsies) for thorough examination purposes, Complete pathological studies from live animals (necropsies, gross pathology and histopathology using specific techniques when necessary). PARASITOLOGY Our experts in veterinary medicine will look for, and study, the parasites found in your animals, i.e. endo- and ecto-parasites.
19 Cell Line & Biological Product Screening We offer a complete study on both murine and human cell lines and other biological products as they represent a source of high risk contamination in lab animal unit establishments. These tests discard the presence of multiple pathogens, including Mycoplasma spp and are carried out following FELASA s recommendations. MURINE PLUS MURINE HUMAN VIRUSES Epizootic diarrhea of infant mice (EDIM) Mouse cytomegalovirus (MCMV) Polyoma virus Hantaan virus Lactate dehydrogenase elevating virus (LDHV) Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) Reovirus type 3 Sendai virus Theiller s murine virus (TMEV) Mouse hepatitis virus (MHV) Murine noroviruses (MNV) Pneumonia virus of mice (PVM) Minute virus of mice (MVM) Murine parvoviruses (MPV, H1, KRV, RPV, RMV ) Ectromelia virus MAD-1 Murine adenovirus FL MAD-2 Murine adenovirus K87 BACTERIA Mycoplasma spp (M.arthitridis, M. pulmonis, M.rodent...) 20 Genotyping GENOTYPING SERVICES Interested in screening your newborn lab animals for a desired gene mutation? Do you want to know which animals carry or lack the allele of choice? Send us your samples and let us take the burden off your lab. Users must provide information about: sequences of the primers employed, conditions sizes of the expected fragments. Additionally users should provide DNA samples or control animals expected for different genotypes.
21 Microbiome Study Microbiome Study NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) is emerging as a powerful tool for profiling complex microbial communities. This new technology reduces the cost and time of DNA sequencing. 16 S rdna Sequencing Metagenomic 16 S rdna sequencing enables efficient identification of bacterial and archaeal microorganism diversity in a specific environment. Bioinformatic analysis of the results obtained is also available. Contact us for more information.

25 Lab Animal Consultancy Service ANIMAL WELFARE CONSULTANCY SERVICES Our team offers you its experience. We want to help you in any subject related to animal welfare. is not just your solution provider, but also your partner in Designing personalised screening panels, Consultancy in lab animal care and handling, Interpreting results, Engineering new lab animal units.
26 Sample Collection & Shipment Recommendations Samples for bacteriology: should be sent using transport media, processing them within 24 hours from collection in order to enhance bacterial viability. We recommend that sera do not contain red blood cells or haemolysed blood. A clean serum provides more accurate and reliable results. Tissue extraction should be carried out immediately after culling the animal. Tissues can be sent to us either frozen or refrigerated: Fresh tissue: should be sent using ice as long as it arrives at our premises in a short period of time. Frozen tissue: should be sent using dried ice in instances in which the logistics or distance from our lab hinder an immediate delivery. Also note that cryopreservation is the only means by which RNA agents genomes are viable. When sending samples for biochemical analyses, always use the appropriate anticoagulant required for each clinical determination. Do not hesitate to contact us to learn more about the conditions and/or volumes required. When collecting samples, it is considered good laboratory practice to always label them immediately and freeze/refrigerate straightaway. This avoids keeping tissue/blood/sera at room temperature and other transcription errors. Always use our digital or paper forms when shipping animals or samples. Every shipment must be acknowledged by our lab. laboratorio@dynamimed.com
