2 SECTION 5: FIRST AID MEASURES Ingestion: Eye contact: Skin contact: Inhalation: Notes to physician: Give 3 to 4 glasses of water, but DO NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, gives fluids again. Get immediate medical attention. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person. Immediately rinse the eyes with water. Remove any contact lenses and continue flushing for at least 15 minutes. Hold the eyelids apart to ensure rinsing of the entire surface of the eyes and lids with water. Get immediate medical attention. Wash affected areas with large amounts of soap and water for 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get immediate medical attention. Wash clothing and clean shoes before reuse. Remove from the area to fresh air.if not breathing,clear the airway and start mouth to mouth artificial respiration. Get immediate medical attention. None SECTION 6: Extinguishing Media: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Foam, Alcohol foam, Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical and Water Spray Fire Fighting Procedures: Firefighters should wear a self contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear. Extinguishing media should be chosen based on the nature of the surrounding fire. Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: SECTION 7: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Steps to be taken if Material is Released or Spilled: Contain and control the leaks or spills with non combustible absorbent materials such as sand, earth, vermiculite, diatom earth in drums for waste disposal. Skin Protection: Protective cream may be used for exposed skin,but they should not be applied after contract with product.wear (NitrilButyl Rubber),NR(Nitrile Rubber) or Polyvinyl alcohol gloves if repeated or prolonged skin contact is likely. Eye Protection: Safety glass with side shields if the method of use presents the likelihood of eye contact. 4 Effects of Overexposure: Eye Contact: Skin Contact: Inhalation: Ingestion: Corrosive. Cause burns to the eyes with possible corneal damage or blindness. May cause excessive blinking, tear production, redness, pain, scarring, infection and swelling of the conjunctiva. Corrosive. Cause burns with redness and swelling. Repeated or prolonged contact can lead to scarring, cracking, and dermatitis. Corrosive. Cause sore throat, coughing and shortness of breath. Lung edema symptoms usually develop several hours later and are aggravated by physical exertion. Corrosive. May cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps, mouth and tongue pain, sore throat, nausea and stomach ache.
