1 Wisdom-Body Yoga Therapy Transformation Through Embodied Movement Wisdom-Body Yoga Therapy is an integrated approach to healing from mental, physical and spiritual pain. WBYT is a 3 year and 800 hour training developed by senior Yoga teachers and certified Yoga therapists Michal Yarkoni and Rachel Krentzman. We believe: v In the healing power of embodied awareness and movement v That being fully present with someone who suffers is a key for healing v That Yoga should be adapted to the person, not the person to the Yoga v That healing is a mutual responsibility of both the therapist and the patient v That direct somatic experience of our humanity expands our consciousness and cultivates humility and gratitude v That each person, even the one who experiences pain and suffering has the potential to live with more ease and acceptance within himself. The approach is an integration of the knowledge and the physical, spiritual and philosophical principles of Yoga with the therapeutic-educational somatic field of Body Mind Centering. BMC was developed during the early 70 s of the 20 th century by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. In her deep sensitivity and genius, she draws a road map to exploring the structure of the body and its movement through embodiment. Embodiment is the process in which an intellectual knowledge is transformed into an inner body-mind knowing. In the embodiment process, we use theoretical study with experiential body-oriented learning tools such as movement, breath, guided imagery, touch, meditation and mindfulness.

2 The teachers are rooted in various Yoga traditions including Vijnana, Iyengar Yoga, Purna Yoga, Ashtanga and Viniyoga. Wisdom-Body approach is based on 6 core principles. The principles are an integration of ideas from BMC developmental movement, deep understanding of anatomy and physiology and the Yoga philosophy. The core principles can be applied to any style of Yoga and furthermore, to any therapeutic approach. They are guiding principles that allow for each teacher and therapist to bring forth their creativity and their personal and professional experience into a structured framework. Coursework includes engaging lectures, experiential practice, case studies and ongoing practicum and mentorship. Her Yoga for a Happy Back: A Teacher s Guide to Spinal Health was published in May of 2016, and her Scoliosis and The Art of Letting Go was released in September A graduate of McGill University, Rachel completed her 2000-hour teacher training with Aadil Palkhivala at the College of Purna Yoga and has studied intensively with Judith Hanson Lasater. Rachel has integrated yoga into her clinical physical therapy practice since She lives in Ra anana, Israel where she owns physi-yoga a center for physiotherapy and yoga therapy. Michal Yarkoni is a Body Mind Centering Therapist, a senior Yoga Teacher, and a Certified Yoga Therapist. She is towards the end of her training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. As a dancer from a young age, a student & teacher of yoga from 1999, body and movement for her are a form of expression, therapy, and ongoing investigation. Since 2004, she hosts anatomy and developmental movement to yoga practitioners and teachers throughout Israel. Developed and taught, a yearly course for Yoga teachers named Embodiment as a Foundation for Yoga Therapy. She both teaches and works as a therapist through yoga and conscious movement in Tivon & Tel-Aviv.

4 Gila Tzion has been practicing and teaching yoga for 42 years. She spent 10 summers studying personally with TKV Desikachar in Madras, India. 12 years studying the Iyengar System and endless investigation of everything related to anatomy and physiology. Gila Has been practicing and delving into the depths of meditation for over 30 years. Teaches Yoga in Israel and the US (Groups and teacher trainings) for 32 years. Her studying, teaching and practice are rooted in the Yoga philosophy and work towards creating peace in the areas where the body and mind meet. Tzippi Negev B.A in philosophy and literature, graduate of the Schwartz Early Childhood Program. Gratuate of the Ministry of Education's Parental Guidance Program, graduate of the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapy course. Has been training yoga teachers for over 35 years. Developed the unique method for Yoga as Therapy named: Yoga of the depths and spaces, an approach of physical, emotional and mental internalization of the philosophy and psychology of yoga. Irit Ziv Ron M.A, D.T.R. is a movement therapist, psychotherapist and a group facilitator. Irit is a founding member and a faculty member in the Open Floor International School. She is a supervisor in the Israel Association of Creative & Expressive Therapies. She was part of the teaching staff of the M.A, program of dance therapy for 19 years. She has a private clinic in Tel Aviv. Lital Simon Practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine. Specializes in personal nutrition, digestive system, women during various life stages and cleanses. Holds a diploma in Ayurveda from the University of Puna. Clinical Herbalist, Ran Herbs. Graduate of the course for Chinese and Macrobiotic Nutrition. Teaches Ayurveda at Yoga teacher training programs at the Wingate Institute. Trains Ayurvedic therapists in advanced courses. Owns the clinic PranaVeda in Ramat Gan. Additional Expert Guest Teachers

5 Assistants Anat Price Senior Vijnana Yoga and Yoga for Women Teacher. Graduate and Assistant of the Embodiment as a Foundation for Yoga Therapy course with Michal Yarkoni. Practices therapy with the wonderful tools of yoga. Practicing Yoga since 1998 and owner of the studio Yoga Bliss in Ra anana. Throughout her practice and teaching she uses the principles of Vijnanana and Yoga for Women together with the knowledge, investigation, compassion and embodiment of Wisdom Body Yoga Therapy. Rachel Jacoby began practicing and studying yoga after making Aliyah from New York. She graduated from a 200hour teacher-training course with Kinneret Yoga and then went on to complete a 480-hour course with Yael Ziv in Tel Aviv University. Intrigued by the body and yoga therapeutics, she studied Yoga Therapy with Gil Solberg, Yoga for Happy Back with Rachel Krentzman, and recently completed a Level 1 and 2 Yoga Wall Training in Brussels. Admission: This course is for certified Yoga teachers who have completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. Priority is given to experienced teachers. Acceptance to the course is based on an application form and interview. Limited to 15 students. In addition, there will be a few spots available for students who are practitioners of other body-mind educational/therapeutic fields who are not yet Yoga teachers, based on their suitability. The course will begin in January 2018, Wednesday 12:00-18:30 Myoga Gym Studio, Kfar Saba. The course will be taught in Hebrew and English.
