2 2 Welcome Message Musculoskeletal problems continue to be a burden for patient, health care and also for the community. For the patient itself musculoskeletal complaint can create further problems related with pain, disability, work-loss and decreased quality of life. In the bigger scope, the growing number of people with musculoskeletal problems will result in increased utilization of health care resources and also increased health care cost. World Health Organization reported that hundreds of million people have musculoskeletal problem and it is predicted that the number will increase. Due to the enormous burden of musculoskeletal conditions, on November 30, 1999 WHO and United Nations declare Bone and Joint Decade which encourage government from all nations to take necessary actions hand in hand with medical professional to overcome the growing problem of musculoskeletal conditions. There have been a lot of activities held all over the world during the Bone and Joint Decade to increase awareness and understanding on musculoskeletal problems including in Indonesia. During Indonesian Rheumatology Association Jakarta Chapter routinely held Temu Ilmiah Reumatologi, an annual scientific meeting on musculoskeletal diseases for medical professional. Although Bone and Joint Decade already pass, we are fully understand that our work is far from over. Therefore this year we once again will held Temu Ilmiah Reumatologi 2016 on March 2016 in Hotel Grand Sahid, Jakarta. During this meeting many experts in Rheumatology and other related fields will gather and spread their knowledge to all participants. We really hope that this scientific meeting will contribute to increase understanding on rheumatology and musculoskeletal diseases and furthermore increase musculoskeletal health of Indonesian people.
