2 WELCOME TO THE AMERICAN OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION PROLOTHERAPY REGENERATIVE MEDICINE 2019 SPRING TRAINING SEMINAR! Welcome! We are excited to have you attend our spring 2019 Prolotherapy Medical Conference which is being held at the beautiful Westin in downtown Austin, Texas. In addition to our highly popular Beginner s Prolotherapy preconference, the AOAPRM will also be offering a one day Neural Therapy segmental therapy preconference. Both the Beginner and Neural therapy preconferences will be limited to 40 attendees to ensure optimal instructor: student ratio so register EARLY! Our main conference will feature presenters who are experts in their field. In addition to our core prolotherapy lectures we have several unique Integrative Pain Treatment Techniques to add to your toolbox when treating your patients. We will also be offering our very popular cadaver lab again that will cover all joints in the body. 4 PRE-CONFERENCE The American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine BEGINNERS; THE BASICS YOU MUST KNOW BEFORE YOU GET STARTED APRIL 3 Category 1A CME Credits (8) MODERATOR: Dr. Ann Auburn, D.O. This one day beginner s program will cover pertinent anatomical structures that must be identified and palpated for each joint prior to any injection. In addition, the attendee will learn how to determine what size needle and solution is appropriate for that particular injury and joint. The attendee will also practice drawing their own solutions. There will be a beginner s checklist provided to each attendee. This should be completed by the end of the day. The AOAPRM s goal is to provide all novice prolotherapy physicians a comprehensive introductory course before attending the main conference. The main conference will build on the basics and allow the beginner to better assimilate to the more advanced and complex variations to standard procedures. This one day program will follow a joint by joint format and will run from 9 to 5pm with a one hour break for lunch.. Extensive review of pertinent anatomical structures Palpation and determination of injured site OMT prior to injection if necessary Determining what solution is appropriate and practice drawing the solutions Actual injection if necessary There will be a 7:1 instructor/student ratio. Due to the small group size, the program is limited to 56 participants so PLEASE register early.

5 The American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine NEURAL THERAPY PRE-CONFERENCE MINIMALLY INVASIVE SEGMENTAL THERAPY FOR BEGINNERS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3 Category 1A CME Credits (8) Each Conference MODERATOR: GERALD HARRIS, D.O. This Spring s Neural Therapy preconference workshop will be on segmental therapy. Many physicians do not wish to assume the risk of performing the deep injections to treat ANS dysfunction, but, would still like to provide their patients with the unique benefits of Neural Therapy. The autonomic nerves that innervate the deep structures have branches that come off of them that extend to the surface of the skin. These superficial nerve fibers can be treated by injecting intracutaneous wheals, or quaddles, of local anesthetic, and this will reflexively treat the deep structures without injecting them directly. This workshop will review the diagnostic methodology of using Autonomic Response Testing, (ART), to evaluate the ANS, and then how to treat those areas of ANS dysfunction that are found in a minimally invasive method using segmental therapy.

This lab will be available as a morning and afternoon session. Injection Workshop Training This workshop is 3 hours and will include various joint injection instruction and other regenerative medicine techniques (i.e., PRP, Facial Ascetics, Soft Tissue, OMT, Prolozone). This lab will also be available as a morning and afternoon session.
