Th first standard for polythyln pips was publishd in 1953 in England. Structural formula of PE Th raw matrials for plastics production ar oil and natural gas. Th raw matrial for production of polythyln is thyln. Ethyln xtract is xtractd from than by mans of th cracking mthod. Polymrization procss allows to obtain polythyln from th thyln molculs. Ethyln Molcul PolythylnMolcul Aftr polymrization: Polymrs that consist only of carbon and hydrogn (hydrocarbons) ar calld polyolfins. Polythyln (PE) also blongs to this group. This is a smicrystallin thrmoplastic. Thrfor this matrial is not solubl in ordinary solvnts, it hardly xpands at all. As a rsult it is impossibl to glu PE.
