2 Prfac This manual offrs th gnral installation and maintnanc information of th Photovoltaic Moduls (hrinaftr rfrrd to as th Moduls) of ANTARIS SOLAR GmbH (hrinaftr rfrrd to as ANTARIS SOLAR). Bfor installation, handling or application of maintnanc, nsur yourslf rad and undrstand this manual and us th Photovoltaic Moduls corrctly & safly. If you hav any qustions, plas fl fr to contact th sal s managr of ANTARIS SOLAR or our Customr Srvic. Gnral us 1. Th oprators shall fors th injury risk during th procsss of installation, dbugging and maintnanc of th Moduls; Thrfor, ths procsss shall b accomplishd by th profssionals with appropriat qualifications. 2. Do not dismantl th Moduls or tar up any labls. 3. Do not touch th xposd cabls or connctors. 4. Aftr opn th packing, an opaqu cloth or othr matrials shall b usd to covr th frontag of th Moduls for th rason that monolithic modul may produc potntially fatal currnt or voltag in th dirct sunlight. 5. Systm dsignrs and installrs shall dsign a rasonabl brackt, Fix th modul on th brackt according to th rcommndd mthod (Plas rfr th 9th point of th Installation part). 6. Th installation, dbugging and maintnanc of th Moduls tc must b complid with all th lctrical nginr safty rgulations. 7. In th standard tst condition (th standard tst condition is: irradianc of 1000 W/m 2, battry tag tmpratur of 25 C and spctrum of AM1.5), th lctrical prformanc paramtrs of th Moduls, such as Isc, Voc and Pmax hav a ±10% dviation with th nominal valu. 8. Do not trampl or strik on th Moduls. 9. Do not spray th chmical non-validatd or paints on th moduls. 10. Whn oprating th chang of any modul or in cas of maintnanc, plas tak ncssity actions to avoid th possibl lctrical injuris. MANUAL I 2

3 Transport and Carry 1. Carry th Moduls carfully and handl thm on rspcting of instruction. 2. Kp th Moduls away from inflammabl gas, hazardous chmicals or fir sourc. 3. Do not carry wt Moduls. 4. It is highly rcommndd to transport with containr and th unfilld spac (th gap ovr 20cm) shall b filld with inflatabl bag; As for th non-containr transport, th Moduls shall b singl laid and wholly card, and som ffctiv masurs shall b takn to prvnt displacmnt. 5. Th surfac oxid layr of th bordr may b scratchd by sharp objcts, do not dstroy or scratch th bordr of th Moduls. Installation 1. Installrs must b qualifid nginrs and familiar with lctrical and its applications. 2. Do not us damagd Moduls. Damagd Moduls may caus fir or lctric shock; both th two rsults could caus th dath of th usr or installr. 3. Do not disconnct th cabl undr a load circumstanc. 4. Undr normal conditions, a Photovoltaic Modul may b abl to produc voltag and currnt highr than in standard tst condition. Accordingly, whn dtrmining componnt ratd voltag, conductor ampacitis, fus currnt and siz of controls connctd to th PV output, th short circuit currnt and opn circuit voltag valu markd on this modul shall b multiplid by a factor (safty factor) of 1.25.* 5. Th Moduls shall b installd in th position of th sun xposurs fully and to nsur that not to b shadd by trs, buildings or somthing othrs surrounding, such as in th northrn hmisphr installd towards th south and in th southrn hmisphr installd towards th north. 6. Us th brackt structur that could withstand th prssur of high winds or havy snow according to your practical installation condition. Th brackt structur must b mad of durabl, corrosion rsistant, UV rsistant matrials. 7. Th installation structur must b dsignd by rgistrd profssional nginrs, and installation dsign and procdurs shall b consistnt with th local rlvant provisions. 8. You could choos ithr fixing mthod mntiond blow pr th actual condition: Scrw-fixing systm (Drawing 1-a), Fixtur-fixing systm (Drawing 1-b) or Insrting Systm. 8 10. Whn installing th Moduls on th roof, nsur thr is an appropriat structur, and a suitabl sal shall b mad btwn th Moduls and th brackt to prvnt laking. 11. Installing th Moduls on th roof may affct th fir rating of th hous which rquirs th construction organization to mak mor accurat assssmnt. 12. Th grounding mthod shall b consistnt with th local standard and rgulations. Th grounding wir shall b th bar coppr wir with simpl surfac tratmnt and no insulation slv. Wir cabl with cross-sctional ara of 4~6 mm 2 (10~12 AWG) and ground clamp (Tyco, idntification of product: ) ar rcommndd (diagrammatic sktchs ar as follows). Th cross-sctional ara shall b no lss than 4 mm 2, and th connction systm shall rach IP65 protction rating. 14. Th minimum sparation btwn two Moduls shall b mor than 10 mm; whn installing on th roof, th minimum sparation btwn th Moduls and th mounting surfac shall b mor than 150 mm, and whn installing on th ground, mor than 450 mm. 15. It had bttr to us th Moduls with sam configuration in a sris connction systm. 16. Artificially concntratd sunlight shall not b dirctd on th modul. 17. Our moduls hav passd th salt mist and ammonia tst (Plas rfr th tst rport for dtaild information) and can b installd in som brutal nvironmnt,.g. sa sid. 18. Th moduls should not b installd at th plac which is lss than 100 mtrs from th sashor. If th distanc of th sashor and th projct sit is 100~1000 mtrs, anti-corrosion application should b takn during th installation and grounding procsss. MANUAL I 8

Othr information, such as wight, siz, maximum systm voltag and maximum fus currnt ar markd on th namplat as wll. Barcod: th barcod is in th intrnal of th Moduls, which containing th rlvant rtrospct information of th Moduls.! Plas do not rmov any labl, or ANTARIS SOLAR will not provid any warranty. Maintnanc 1. Do not touch th liv part of th wir cabl and th connctor. Whn touching, us th safty quipmnt (insulating tool, insulating glovs tc). 2. Whn maintaining th Moduls, us opaqu cloth or othr matrials to covr th frontag of th Moduls. Exposd in sunlight, th Photovoltaic Moduls may produc high voltag, which is a potntial dangr. 3. Claning instruction Priodic claning is ncssary for solar modul, which could rduc th loss du to dust and is rcommndd by ANTARIS SOLAR. Th claning procsss should b accomplishd by th profssionals with appropriat qualifications. Whn claning th modul surfac, a) Ruls shown as blow must b followd: Only at low irradianc, th claning procss could b applid. Only soft cloth or spong could b usd to clan th glass surfac. Only clan watr could b usd as th claning solvnt. Th discrpancy btwn watr tmpratur and modul tmpratur should b in th rang of -5 C to +10 C. Watr prssur should b lss than 1000 Pa. Ncssary lctrical protction should b takn. b) Following nots should b takn into account: No othr chmical could b usd in claning procss. No aggrssiv tool or coars matrial is prmittd. Do not trampl or strik on moduls. In claning procss, th moduls must not b undr a load circumstanc. Do not touch xposd cabls or connctors. Forbiddn to rmov dust in dry way. 10 Annual inspction 1. Chck if nuts, bolts of mounting structur ar scur and not loos. Tightn th loos componnt again, if rquird. 2. Chck th watr rsistanc of th conncting cabls, grounding cabls and connctors and th prformanc of th ground rsistanc. 3. Chck all lctrical and mchanical connctions from frdom of corrosion. 4.
