7 No More Test Deadlines Apply for a certification test whenever you are ready. Once your application is approved, you will have your own individual 90-day period in which to take the test. In order to have a full 90-day window in 2015, you must apply by September 1. Testing will end on December 31, 2016 and resume on February 1, 2017.
