3 Eco-Ceramides (Multi ceramides mixture) Importance of Skin barrier The epidermis is composed of the outermost layers of the skin. It forms a protective barrier over the body's surface, responsible for keeping water in the body and preventing pathogens from entering. The stratum corneum, the external layer of epidermis, has a distinctive structure like a cement brick and mortar with keratinocytes and lipid layer. This lipid layer is formed into 'Lamellar' structure with multiple layer overlapped one on another. 5 Lacto-GABA : Neurocosmetic ingredient GABA(g-aminobutyric acid) GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian central nervous system. It plays the principal role in reducing neuronal excitability throughout the nervous system. In humans, GABA is also directly responsible for the regulation of muscle tone. It appears to lower the excitatory level of the muscle cells by numbing and relaxing them. GABA is normally manufactured by the body in sufficient quantity. Exposure to environmental toxins and other external stresses may cause the deficiency of GABA in the body which may result in muscle fatigue, nervousness, anxiety, irritability, depressed mood and sleep difficulty. Due to these factors, skin naturally contracts and loses its natural levels of moisture and elasticity. When using GABA topically, it might help to relax facial nerves and muscles leading skin in sleeping state, and to restore skin cells. 9 Extract of Medicinal Herb In Korea, about 80 families, 243 genuses, 4210 species of wild plants had been investigated, and, among them, 850 species of plants has been known as to be edible. For a long time, these wild plants had been used for treatment of disease as food resource, folk remedies, and medicines. Due to proved distinctive effectiveness, some of them had been called as medicinal herbs.
