4 Bio A. Gold Ginseng Rare type of Korean ginseng first discovered in 長湍郡, 京畿道, Korea Gold berries on the top differentiated from regular ginseng in appearance. Compared to regular ginseng, gold ginseng better maintains a good quality as it has no inside cavities and whites. Gold ginsengs are richer in saponin (ginsenoside) which have great medical effects. 4

However, certain saponins from certain vegetables carry toxicity and may generate a side effect such as hemolysis if taken much. On the other hand Saponin of ginseng, ginsenoside (ginseng + glycoside), is a neutral glycoside, and comes with no toxicity issues and has excellent medical effects. 5

9 Bio B. Bioconversion Rather than major ginsenosides, minor ginsenosides are known to be a better option for the topical usage. Therefore there were many attempts to convert from major ginsenosides to minor ginsenosides throughout to achieve the enhanced performance. 9

Nov. was used in order to convert major ginsenosides to minor ginsenosides resulting in better functionalities.
