Officer observed a red SUV and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Mawman Ave and issued W27015 for vision obstructed and a verbal warning for no front license plate. A waiver form was signed by the patient and all units cleared. Upon arrival, Knollwood Fire Department was on scene, there were no apparent injuries to either driver. The driver of Unit 1 was checked out by the Lake Forest Fire Department Ambulance, a waiver release was signed. Lake Bluff Fire Department also responded. Pro Towing responded and towed Unit 1 from the scene. Traffic Citation T40258 was issued to the driver of Unit 1 for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Officer spoke with the complainant who advised the subjects, 2 younger males, were wearing refelctive vests. The subjects did not enter the home, then left the area. The case is under investigation. Waukegan Road for an activated fire alarm. The Knollwood Fire Department determined that the alarm was activated due to work being done in the business. While enroute Officer was advised that the Lake Bluff Fire Department was doing some training at that address and accidentally set off the burglar alarm. No assistance was needed. Officer cleared. Officer spoke with a subject from a local landscaping business and advised him to move his truck and trailor. No other irregularities were observed and officer cleared to resume patrol. CFS#: 437 Time: 10/29/ :37 CFS Type: Death Investigation Rpt.Req.: Yes Narrative Time: 10/29/ :20 Officers responded to the 400 block of East Witchwood Lane for a report of an elderly male who was found unconcious and not breathing. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the subject had been deceased. Investigation revealed no criminal activity and the patient died of natural causes. CFS#: 511 Time: 10/29/ :14 CFS Type: Animal Complaint Rpt.Req.: No Narrative Time: 10/29/ :04 Officer responded to the 500 block of East North Avenue for a stray dog holding. The dog was a chocolate labrador with a leather collar. Officer took possession of the dog. The driver was subsequently arrested for suspended registration and driving while license suspended. CFS#: 693 Time: 10/30/ :44 CFS Type: Assist Fire Department Rpt.Req.: No Narrative Time: 10/30/ :26 Officers responded to the 1600 block of Shoreacres Road for an activated fire alarm. While enroute, dispatch advised the alarm company called back and said they also had an activated burglar alarm at the same location. Officer arrived on scene and met with an alarm company employee who was doing work on the alarm system and stated the alarm should be out of service. Lake Bluff Fire Department arrived on scene and walked through the building. Officer observed no irregularities and verified with fire personnel that no further assistance was needed. Information was provided to the dealership. Upon arrival Officers me with the cleaning crew who stated they had set the alarm off on accident. Officers observed no irregularities and cleared. 6 Narrative Time: 10/31/ :10 Officer responded to the 300 block of S. Waukegan Road for a called in fire alarm. Upon arrival Officer met with an employee who stated that he had bumped into the pull station and an audible alarm was activated. Officer observed that the fire alarm had not been activated and that it was only a tamper alarm for the pull station. No assistance needed. The Lake Bluff Fire Department arrived on location and was advised of the situation and cleared CFS#: 805 Time: 10/31/ :50 CFS Type: Assist Fire Department Rpt.Req.: No Narrative Time: 10/31/ :27 Officer responded to the block of Butterfly Court to assist the Fire Department with a lift assist. The Knollwood Fire Department responded. The Lake Forest Ambulance 421 responded and a refusal was signed. Officer stood by until all fire personnel cleared. CFS#: 839 Time: 10/31/ :09 CFS Type: Alarm Rpt.Req.: No Narrative Time: 10/31/ :29 Officers responded to the 700 block of Moffett Road for an activated burglar alarm. Officers found the exterior secured and observed no irregularities. While checking a sliding door in the rear of the residence, officers activated an audible alarm. The alarm company was notified and keyholder stated they would respond at a later time. No further assistance was needed and officers cleared. Complainant, stated they could not exit the driveway. Officer arrived and observed the tree trimming trucks to be parked legally. Officer spoke with a crew member on location and they voluntarily agreed to move one truck to make it easier to exit the driveway CFS#: 852 Time: 10/31/ :00 CFS Type: Traffic Arrest Rpt.Req.: Yes Narrative Time: 10/31/ :03 Officer conducted a traffic stop at Route 176 and Shagbark Road for failure to wear a seatbelt. The driver was arrested for driving without a valid license. Officer located a vehicle and followed it. Officer did not observe any irregularities and cleared. Officer met with the complainant who advised her father was missing from their residence in North Chicago. The complainant returned home to contact North Chicago Police Department. The subject was later located. Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the driver who was stated that she ran out of gas and the car would be moved shortly. Officer stood by until vehicle was removed. The subject was described as a male wearing a leather jacket with fur around the sleeves and the neck of the jacket. After lifting the patient he requested to be transported to the hospital for further care. Lake Forest Ambulance transported the patient to Lake Forest Hospital and all units cleared when no further assistance was needed. Officers arrived on scene with the Lake Bluff Fire Department who began to treat a patient. Officers checked the exterior finding the residence secure. Officers made contact with a subject inside the residence who was watching the residence while the homeowner was out of town. Officer also spoke with the homeowner on the phone who stated the alarm was set off in error. No further assistance was needed, officers cleared. Officer met with the homeowner who stated he located a deer carcass on the north side of his property. Officer located the deer carcass in a wooded area on the homeowners property, and referal was made to a removal service. The phone was found in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue. The phone was a Samsung brand smartphone, blue in color, with Cricket service. Officer was unable to locate a number assocaiated with the phone. Officer checked the area, the dog was gone prior to officers arrival.
