The driver's license was mailed back to the Illinois Secretary of State. Officer contacted UIC, and asked them to notify the property owner of the location of his property. The ID and credit card were logged into found property. The subject stated she would run some errands until the homeowner returned home to show her how to activate/deactivate the alarm system. Officer observed no irregularities and cleared. Officer located an employee of the Open Lands doing work for the Lake Bluff Open Lands and she has been working in the area for two days and arrives early in the morning. Officer observed no other irregularities and made contact with the complainant and advised him of the situation. No other police service requested. While en route, proper passcode was provided by homeowner off location. Officer verified accidental activation by housekeeper and observed no irregularities. The complainant gave no other information and left the PSB. Officer observed the checks were issued by Chase bank and were labeled as belonging to a resident in Lake Bluff. Records was able to make contact with Chase bank who stated they will attempt to contact the owner of the bank account. The check book was added to the found property book and placed into the found property bin for safe keeping. Officers checked the area and the subject was gone upon arrival. A third party arrived on location and advised the subject is a resident and lives on Rockland Avenue. Officers met with the complainant and advised him of their findings. The complainant did not wish to sign complaints at this time. Officers responded to Rockland Avenue and met with the subject's mother, who stated he is not at the residence at this time. Officers requested she advise her son of this incident and no complaints are being signed at this time CFS#: 970 Time: 10/02/ :36 CFS Type: Driving Complaint Rpt.Req.: No Narrative Time: 10/02/ :45 Narrative: Officer responded to south bound IL Route 41 for a report of a male subject possibly smoking a bong in a red in color Jeep. The vehicle was last seen southbound from Route 137. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle. Lake Forest Police Department was also notified. CFS#: 134 Time: 10/03/ :57 CFS Type: Driving Complaint Rpt.Req.: No Narrative Time: 10/03/ :06 Narrative: Officer responded to the area of Rt. 41 near Knauz Motors for a driving complaint. Officer located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop due, to a lane violation, just north of the EJ&E Bridge. The vehicle continued north before stopping in a parking lot of the 1200 block of Skokie Highway. Officers made contact with the driver who advised she was having difficulty seeing the roadway due to the rainy conditions. The driver also stated she did not want to pull over on the side of Rt. 41 because she thought it was unsafe. Page: 7 of 9

Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, and Knollwood Fire Departments responded. The fire department personnel were unable to determine the cause of the activation, and left the alarm holding in trouble. The park district pesonnel stated they would contact the alarm company, and have them fix the alarm system. All units cleared. The cat owner had been sent letters in the past requesting the owner ensure the cat does not come on their property. the complainant did not wish to have a ticket issued for cat at large and stated a warning would suffice. Officer made contact with the cat owner who stated she is aware that the cat is loose and she was attempting to locate the cat. Officers located an unlocked garage door leading to the residence. Officers checked the interior and observed interior lights illuminated in several different rooms. No persons were located and the remainder of the exterior was secured. Officers will make a notification to the building and zoning department regarding the condition of the residence. Officers spoke to a neighbor who stated the previous owner was seen at the residence earlier in the morning. Officers observed no other irregularities.
