2 Highlights of the Department - Department currently provides routine care pertaining to dental specialties namely diagnostic, preventive, restorative, periodontal, pediatric, radiographic, surgical and prosthodontic services. - Total number of patients treated in Department of Dentistry between 1 st April, 2016 to 31 st March, 2017 were 22,199. This is a fivefold exponential increase from the 5440 patients treated between April 2013 to March

3 - Outreach Dental educational & treatment camps organized at: - Geriatric old age homes in Bhopal (Aasra, Apna Ghar) - Marginalised communities, Schools - Food Corporation of India (FCI) - Denture, Sealant & Tobacco Cessation Camps were organised

5 Events organized: 1. Workshop organized on Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis; dated 27 th 28 th Feb, Course Director, Dr Abhinav Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Dentistry, AIIMS, Bhopal. This 2-day hands on workshop included and covered the following areas: Rationale of systematic reviews & meta-analysis; Searching the literature; Assessing quality of the evidence (including risk of bias and heterogeneity); Systematic review question formulation; Critical appraisal of published review; Statistical methods in meta-analysis (Effect Size, Forest & Funnel Plots; Fixed & Random Effects Model); Practical exercise using RevMan with Dummy Data - {Generating/Preparing Forest & Funnel Plots using Fixed & Random models: Odds Ratio (OR), Risk Ratio (RR) & Risk Difference (RD)}
