The organizers, CAPP and Emirates Dental Society achieve for the 5 th 2me great record of a`endance and established a reputa2on as the industry s leading interna2onal conference. The Address Dubai Marina Hotel hosts 726 par2cipants in the very elegant atmosphere. Technology is changing the world of den2stry. In an increasingly inter- linked global environment. 3 CONFERENCE Dr. Munir J. Silwadi, Conference Chairman and Scien2fic Program Advisor hosted the 11 industry leading speakers. The conference schedule included one new ac2vity Theatre presenta2on, four sessions with a variety of topics being presented and discussed, and three workshops. THEATRE PRESENTATION NEW! Today our pa2ents are asking for more esthe2c and durable all- ceramic restora2ons. The combina2on of chair side manufactured all- ceramic restora2ons using the CAD/CAM technology with CEREC and the adhesive cementa2on technique facilitate long las2ng restora2ons resul2ng in significant preserva2on of tooth structure and excellent esthe2cs mee2ng the highest pa2ent demands. However, small mistakes in the various clinical steps of the treatment sequence and the manufacturing process can compromise the clinical long- term success of our CAD/CAM restora2ons. In a joint interac2ve lecture Dr. Michael Dieter and Mr. Joerg Vogt presented a predictable concept for the chairside treatment with single tooth CAD/CAM restora2ons taking into account all the cri2cal steps to the final restora2on. Dr. Michael Dieter focused on the clinical treatment sequence, e.g. indica2ons, tooth prepara2on, selec2on of the correct color, translucency and strength of ceramic blocks, plus all the cementa2on op2ons for the lu2ng procedure. Special emphasis was given to the perfec2on of the esthe2c outcome of the restora2on aier milling. Mr. Joerg Vogt introduced the latest on "One- visit digital den2stry" with CEREC AC Bluecam: How to take perfect digital op2cal impressions, update on the latest soiware version including the new Biogeneric soiware. Detailed yet smooth presenta4on and informa4ve. Impressive & Refreshing Presenta4on. Very nice dual work, both Interes4ng and Beneficial. This was very informa4ve presenta4on. 4 SPEAKERS The Keynote speaker Dr. Andreas Kurbard, Germany opened the morning session of day one with a presenta2on CAE 2 - Computer Aided Esthe2cs - The Science of Communica2on, followed by Dr. Lutz RiHer, Germany who discussed the topic of Virtual 3D Prosthe2c and Implant Planning using Cone Beam Imaging and CEREC. The first day finished with two discussions by Dr. Andreas Kurbard CAV - Computer Aided Veneering of Crowns and Bridges and Dr. Faysal Succaria, UAE Ensuring Success with Modern CAD/CAM Restora2ons by Applying Classic Prosthodon2c Principles. The second day of the conference started with the second theme by Dr. Lutz RiHer 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) Clinical Applica2ons in Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Steven M. Morgano DMD, USA presented Tooth Prepara2on Design for CAD/CAM Restora2ons and Cementa2on.

5 The morning session of day two finished with discussions by Dr. Esam Ahmed Tashkandi, KSA Applied Color Science for Den2stry and Dr. Stefan Grumer, Germany Laser - and Computer Aided Den2stry, Synergisms and Limita2ons. In the aiernoon Dr. Steven M. Morgano DMD, USA started his second presenta2on CAD/CAM Technology: An Update followed by Dr. Nadim Aboujaoude, Lebanon with theme To Bond or Not to Bond. The conference finished with the discussion CAD/CAM Orthodon2cs by Dr. Khaled Abouseada, Egypt/KSA. This is the place where dental industry and dental specialists build rela2onships. We try to provide one an interac2ve environment where the delegates had opportuni2es to share their clinical experience and give a feedback to the industry. Hands On Courses Veneers Hands- on Course 11 May 2011, Tutor: Dr. Munir Silwadi, UAE The Ceramic Veneers treatment modality demands that the restora2ve den2st acquire proper knowledge and skills as well as following certain protocols to be able to achieve the desired results. This presenta2on was discuss factors that affect prepara2on, shade selec2on, temporiza2on, as well as bonding of veneers. Excep4onal knowledge & experience passed to the alendance in a clear, precise, concise manner which greatly elevates the alendee's scope & confidence. Nice and very intelligent course, excellent tutor. 3M is a bigger company than they imagined. 3D Imaging in Den*stry Hands- on Course 12 May 2011, Tutor: Dr. Lutz Ri`er, Germany In this workshop three- dimensional imaging was discussed together with planned oral reconstruc2on, computer aided implant planning and Dentomaxillofacial radiology e.g. for pre- surgical visualiza2on. We need more hands on coarse like this. I found workshop to be a great help and I look forward to par4cipa4ng again in the future.

7 Microimplants Hands- on Course 12 May 2011, Tutor: Dr. Bilal Koleilat. Lebanon The aim of this course and typodont hands on is to illustrate how the use of microimplants expanded the limits of tooth movements, facilitated the treatment of certain malocclusions previously considerednon manageable orthodon2cally, and defined new rules for the concept of modern anchorage. 5 th CAD/CAM Anniversary Party Already Celebra2ng 5 years!
