2 THE EVENT The 7th Dental Facial Cosmetic Int l Conference (#DFCIC) 2015 in Dubai closed with a total of 2463 participants. The event built on the success of last years conference and added several significant new values. Several significant events took place during the 5 Days of Continuing Dental Education (#CME) including 4th American Academy of Implant Dentistry Global Conference, 3rd Dental Hygienist Day (#DHD), 19 (#CME)Hands-On Courses, Election of Emirates Dental Society, 25th Annual Meeting of #ICD and the Excellence #Dentistry Awards 2015 in Aesthetic. Next to that, the event welcomed all newcomers, providers and experts from 34 countries that gathered during the five conference days at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. Poster presenta2ons allow the author to meet and get introduced informally with interested viewers, facilita2ng greater exchange of ideas and networking opportuni2es. EDS and CAPP have enjoyed a long las2ng strong collabora2on over the last 10 years and this event is an example of the partnership between the two ins2tu2ons. All members of the EDS were invited to a]end this important elec2on which supported the EDS in its mission to improve the standard of den2stry in the region. Throughout the period of Dr. Aisha Sultan as the President of the EDS, one of the most memorable achievements was her elec2on as the President of the Asia Pacific Dental Federa2on for the period and to successfully host the Asia Pacific Dental Conference in Dubai for the first 2me outside of Asia and in the Middle East. It is important to con2nue the strong progress and evolu2on of the dental profession in the United Arab Emirates.

15 Charity Ini=a=ve at the 7 th DFCIC During the 7 th Edi2on of the Dental Facial Cosme2c Int l Conference CAPP had an honor to host Opera2on Smile UAE (OSUAE). OSUAE is an interna2onal children s charity commi]ed to saving lives and allowing children with cleps to smile properly for the first 2me. We do this by providing free surgeries and aper care to those affected. Since our founding in 1982 we have provided more than 200,000 free surgeries to children and young adults around the world and over 2 million comprehensive healthcare evalua2ons. The organiza2on had a great opportunity during the conference to recruit many new medical volunteers.
