4 Quality Quality: Mozo-Grau Principle The definition of the Spanish Royal Academy of the Language for quality is: property or set of inherent properties to a thing that allow to appreciate it like equal, better or worse than the rest of its type. The strict reading of this definition places the quality of a product as a comparison to the quality offered by its competitors. At Mozo-Grau this comparison is not enough. Our aim is not only to be better than the rest, but to work to satisfy our clients by offering the most advanced science and techniques. Our Quality Control and Engineering Department set up analysis systems and verification procedures to avoid mistakes from the first stages of production. In this way we are able to develop solid and efficient processes that guarantee 100% reliability on all the products and services. ISO 13485:2003 is an ISO standard, published in 2003, that represents the requirements for a comprehensive management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices. The Medical Devices Directive (Council Directive 93/42/EEC) is intended to harmonize the laws related to medical devices within the European Union. ISO 9001:2008 requires the organization to demonstrate continuous improvement. The CE marking (also known as CE mark) is a mandatory conformity mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA). Mozo-Grau complies with all these mandatory certifications and regulations necessary to supply implants in the European Union, moreover Mozo Grau is voluntarily complying with the most exigent standards on the subject. 7 the perfect fusion With MG-InHex Implant, Mozo-Grau has achieved a solution based on well established scientific results and respecting surgical, biological and prosthetic principles thus ensuring a very aesthetic result. The ease of manipulation and the strength of the materials of the MG-InHex implant allows the clinician to achieve predictable aesthetic results with the security and reliability provided by its high rate of success, based on solid osseointegration and ideal distribution of the biomechanical loads. The trunk and cone profile design of the implant allows its walls to provide sufficient resistance to respond to axial and paraxial occlusion loads with guarantees. The Microthreads in the cortical part, which become threads in the central part, together with the self-tapping design of the apex end, make this implant one of the most stable at insertion in the market. Moreover, the proven efficiency of the RBM treated surface to achieve secondary or biological stability, makes the MG-InHex Implant the best option for immediate loading applications. The internal connection of MG-InHex implant is based on the use of Morse Cone, which reliably ensures the correct stability and solidity in the abutment, without loss of flexibility when planning the restoration. High precision machinery, with ±0.005 mm margin error and ±0.01 mm tolerance, is used to produce the prosthetic abutments. Instructions for maintenance Instructions for maintenance of surgical instruments PRE-TREATMENT All products must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized prior to use; this applies in particular prior to first use i.e. after delivery as all products are supplied nonsterile. The thorough cleaning and disinfecting is indispensable in order to achieve effective sterilization. The disinfectant used during pre-treatment only ensures personal protection and can be no substitute for the disinfection procedure to be used later after completion of the cleaning process. TREATMENT DURING USE During use, separate the soiled instruments to avoid further contamination of the instrument tray. Clean / disinfect the soiled products, arrange them in the instrument tray, and sterilize only the instruments that will be used. Impurities must be removed from the products directly after use. To do so, use distilled water or a disinfectant solution; the disinfectant must not contain aldehyde (which could fix blood residues to the instrument surface). TREATMENT AFTER USE 1. Choosing the cleaning / disinfecting agents: It is recommended to use a neutral/enzymatic detergent (minimum admissible ph value 5.5). It should contain neither bleach nor Organic solutions (e.g. alcohols, ether), nor oxidants (e.g. hydrogen peroxides), nor halogens (chlorine, iodine, bromine). Caution should be paid with tap water as it may contain too much chlorine. Avoid solutions with aldehyde (which could fix blood residues to the instrument surface). 2. Choosing the products for the cleaning process: For the manual removal of impurities, only use nylon brushes. Never use metal brushes or steel wool. Use a wire to clean the internal cooling canal of the drills (Not applicable to RCD drills). 3. How to clean / disinfect the surgical instruments: Eliminate thoroughly all the post-operative residues (blood, bone...). As to products with lumen (cavities), such as drills with internal cooling, rinse all cavities by using a disposable syringe and a wire for this purpose (Not applicable to RCD drills). Do not clean, implant drills with other tools made of different material, in the same ultrasonic box. During the cleaning process in ultrasonic box, avoid as much as possible, shocks and contacts with other drills or instruments. Rinse and dry the drills immediately after the cleaning process (preferably use distilled water to rinse). Never store instruments while they are still wet. 4. How to sterilize: Sterilization by wet heat autoclaving 134 ºC (273 ºF) - 18 minutes (5 minutes in case of RCD drills). Make sure that the elements, inside the autoclave, are not rusted. Wrap the elements in sterilization packaging intended for this purpose. Never allow surgical instruments to touch one another while being sterilized. Surgical instruments and sterilization trays should never be exposed to temperatures exceeding 137 C (279 F). p. 46
