4 Learning Objectives Learning Objective 1: Participants will gain the tools and knowledge needed to start and/or improve a fitness challenge at their university consisting of fitness assessments, weekly workouts, educational sessions and awards. Learning Objective 2: Participants will learn how to manage and develop student staff in order to execute a successful program and foster student development opportunities. Learning Objective 3: Participants will learn about the importance of assessing programs through various tools including academic research.

6 Step 1: Determine Demand What is your target population? What does the population want? What resources do you have? Budget, Logistics, Staff, Partnerships How many participants can you accommodate and how many will be interested?

7 Step 2: Determine Logistics Where can workouts, educational sessions, fitness assessments be held? Ex. Studios, gym, classrooms, meeting rooms When are these spaces available?

8 Step 3: Determine Budget Calculate price of registration to cover costs. Revenue generation? Tips on how to cut costs: Collaborate with academic and student affairs departments for unpaid student interns Ask community for prize/food donations and sponsorships Ex. Cooking Kitchen, Awards
