2 22 nd Annual Conference of the Welcome I would like to invite you to participate in the 22 nd scientific session of the Saudi heart association which will be held between February 21 th to 24 th, 2011 under the patronage of his highness Prince Sultan Ben Mohammed Bin Saud Alkabir. This is the largest cardiac meeting in Saudi Arabia and one of the largest in the Middle east. The highlight of this year conference is joint sessions with prestigious international associations such as America college of Cardiology, the European society of cardiology and few others. In addition the scientific committee is preparing an exciting and powerful program distributed over 5 parallel session and three and half days. On the first day a preponderance courses will be held on selected important topics.

The venue is the King Faisal Hall for conferences and is considered the best conference venue in the kingdom and attached to the Riyadh

4 22 nd Annual Conference of the ABOUT The 22nd Scientific Conference of the Saudi Heart Association is the highlight of the events of the Saudi Heart Association to embody the goals of the organization in the field of Cardiovascular medicine. As a large number of local, regional & international cardiovascular professionals attend the conference, there is a huge opportunity for the exchange of scientific and medical expertise, and to develop the educational & training environment of the participating cardiovascular professionals. SHA22 is coming as highlight of the major relentless development in the medical field in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SHA 22 represents the cultural and medical movement that is receiving lots of care and attention from the Saudi government. SHA22 will provide discussions and lectures to cover the latest in the world of cardiovascular surgery. It will cover interventional catheterization, pediatric heart surgery, adult heart surgery, echo & computerized axial cardiovascular and perfusion. Joint sessions with the American College of Cardiology and the Saudi Heart Association are a continuation of the cooperation of the two associations. Previous joint sessions were delivered in last annual conference of the American College of Cardiology in Orlando, Florida. To provide advanced knowledge and training for the heart health professionals, and all interested parties in the medical community. SHA 22 provides an opportunity for heart health professionals. So they can share their experiences and can communicate their scientific advancements. They also can participate in updating the required changes to serve the patients and the members of the community. More than 260 consultants and scientists speakers participate in SHA22. They come from all over the world and from Saudi Arabia. More than 2000 participating consultants, physicians, specialists, technicians, and nurses are expected to attend SHA22.
