2 WELCOME In view of the growing population and demand of heart failure in our region and world wide, heart failure specialists in Saudi Arabia have gathered to adjoin their efforts and work to reach out to the community and colleague professionals in tackling such a demanding task. With the continuing vision of the Saudi Heat Association-Team Work- it has been the goal to conduct our educational activities with the support and interest of the whole team. We are sure that every interested person will have some contribution and we are looking forward to the participation that enriches our care and knowledge. We welcome you to our two day conference conducted by international and national heart failure experts, through which we share experience and knowledge and come across recent updates in adult and pediatric heart failure, heart transplantation and devices. 3 WELCOME Dear Colleagues, I would like to welcome you to the First Annual Symposium of the Saudi Heart Failure Working Group that will be held in Riyadh on 5-6 December What is impressive to me personally is not only the excellent scientific program and the outstanding faculty members, but also the great passion and efficient team work that I noticed on several occasions about the Board of Directors of the Saudi Heart Failure Working Group!. The fact that they decided and managed to hold their annual symposium within few months only of establishing the group is a great testimony to this. I have no doubt in my mind that every medical practitioner in the field of cardiac sciences, being a specialist or not, will benefit tremendously from this program.
