(DCM) The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. followed by a moment of silence and the Serenity Prayer. Concept 5 was read by Kory H. (Living Proof) and The 12 Traditions were read by Tim M. (Bridge to Shore) There is one new GSR: Walt R. for Mt. Nebo, visitors, or Al Anon reps. Past DCM, Reilly K. was also present. Roll Call: (Twelve (12) GSRs present, eight (8) is the majority.) 2 DCM Report (Bobby I.) Good Evening, On the 19th is the Assembly in Clackamas, I will not be attending. The weekend after though we will be having the annual resentment bonfire, ribs and resentments will be provided. I look forward to planning our next service workshop. Yours in love and service, Bobby Treasurer s Report (Ali H.) Rent, hotline all paid this month. We have a balance of $3, Thank you all for the continued contributions. Each is recorded if there are any questions and concerns, please ask. The treasurer s report was available for discussion, listing all contributions and our current cash balance ($3,127.62). Daniel R. (Keys to the Kingdom) made the motion to accept the report as read, it was seconded by Kory H. (Living Proof). Motion passed. No discussion. Committee Reports Women s Jail: (Kandi K.) No report, Kandi not present. Men s Jail: ( ) No report. Grapevine: (Lakia B-A.) No report, Lakia not present. CTF: (Tim M.) Everything is going great, and thanks to the past workshop many people have stepped up to volunteer. We have meetings going to all three treatment centers. We are doing well as a district carrying the message. Volunteers may call Tim M. ( ) Literature: (Georgia S.) Georgia not present. Report from Laura H, (Wildlife). Sales are going well. Please let people know that they need to call the HotLine office if they want to purchase literature, to make sure that someone is there who has access to the books. (This is also why we need people there to man the office so people can buy literature any day of the week!!) In love and Service, Georgia Rosypaa: ( ) No Report. WebMaster: (Rachel T.) Rachel has updated the District #13 Webpage as of 6 p.m. May 10, Flyers will be uploaded as they are received. So far, our meetings are all current according to the updated meeting schedule.

3 Activities: New Year s Eve: ( ) Chair will be appointed after the District Campout. Campout (Tim M.) Sobriety Under the Stars Planning meetings every third Sunday, Hole in the 4 p.m. S We still need people to help!!! We have a Logo/Theme (Thank you, Ali H.) and a T-Shirt Design (Thank you, Walt R.) We have flyers which contain a schedule of events and activities. T-shirts are $12 and are available immediately. Many colors and styles as well. Groups will receive order sheets tonight, and sales will also happen at the coming Resentment Bonfire! Help needed for: Set up and Tear Down, Campfire meetings, and the Children s Parade. CPC/PI: (Samantha H.) No Report, Samantha not present. Archives: (Reilly K.) No Report this evening. Al-anon: No Report. Still need a representative!! HotLine: ( ) We need a new HotLine chairperson. Laura H (Wildlife) from Georgia (not present) gave the report. We recently filled two positions, but we still need volunteers Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday mornings (8 a.m. noon) Please call Georgia if interested ( ) We would also like to be able to sell books every day!! Alternate DCM: (Jamie M.) Jaime will attend the coming Area 58 Assembly in Clackamas, Oregon for DCM, Bobby. Old Business: GSR School/Service Workshop. Lots of discussion. Apologies in advance if I missed anyone s comment. Question went to the groups regarding either/or, or both. GSR school/workshop would target those interested specifically in becoming and/or serving as a GSR for any group, or opening things up to include information for all group service positions. New Business: Meet the Challenge! Reilly K. (past DCM, Area Delegate) GSO is once again challenging all membership to support our AA General Service!! This year, it is the $7.40 on July 4 th 2018 ($7.40 on 7/4). The idea is that all groups participate, passing a Special Basket or Can in addition a the regular 7 th Tradition on July 4 th.

4 Note: in 2017, GSO provided services to 1,381,954 A.A. members at a cost of $10, 222,650. That is a cost of $7.40 per A.A. member for the whole year! This amount would support all of the services that GSO provides to all groups for one year! EASYPAA Washington D.C. Reilly K. is the Opening Speaker!! Go Team!! Resentment Bonfire. Bobby I. (DCM). Ribs and Resentments Saturday, May 26 Bobby s home: 3616 Wild River Drive, Glide, Oregon. It is a Barbecue and potluck. Arrive at 2 p.m. Horse shoes, 5 p.m. set up, eat at 6 p.m., and 7 p.m. Meeting. Wood for the bonfire is needed. Call Bobby with any questions ( ). Bring Chairs and Resentments!! GSR School: Discussion. Daniel R.(Keys to the Kingdom): Suggestion to stay with the idea of a GSR workshop as this might encourage more GSRs to come to District. The thinking is to activate membership at the district level. Ray B. (Alt. Hole in the Ground): It would let people know who d like to be district GSRs. Kory H. (Living Proof): Our group wants an open workshop with all positions. Walt R. (Mt. Nebo): Ditto! We d like to see an general discussion of all GSR incorporated. Mike B. (Principles of Recovery): The secretary and treasurer of our groups would really like to have more information. Laura H. (Wildlife): We d like to have a little bit of everything. Gary L. (Sutherlin): We are trying to get up and going. Tim M. (Bridge to Shore): We want a GSR school. Rachel T. (Webmaster): Do we have enough to do both? Bobby I. (DCM): Yes, but it seemed to work better as one at a time. Daniel R.(Keys to the Kingdom): The purpose of each is different. If we do a general workshop, it does not replace the idea of learning about a GSR position. Jim R. (Glide): Trying to get new people into just having a GSR meeting is less confusing.

5 Kory H. (Living Proof): Motion to vote and choose one idea. Bobby I. (DCM): Called for the question. Of the twelve GSRs present, 6 voted for the GSR only workshop, and 6 voted for the All-inclusive general service workshop. Discussion followed: Many voiced concerns about the pros and cons of each and getting A.A. members in Roseburg to come to such a workshop. With a Service workshop: people could share and then break into small groups. A GSR school might not gain the members. Sarah H. (Weekly Reflections): General workshop training is probably more beneficial to newcomers. Reilly K. (Area Delegate, past DCM): An introduction into service is a way to get a lot of people into their first service position. Bobby I. (DCM): It has been my experience that 20 percent of the people do 80 percent of the work and that 80 percent of the people talk about 20 percent of the work that said, another Call for the question of a General Service Workshop first. Eleven GSRs voted in the affirmative. Planning Committee Appointed: General Service Workshop Rachel T. Sarah H. Mike B. Lakia A.-B. Kory H. All GSRs will take this information back to their respective groups for input. The committee will plan the event, time, date and the agenda. TBA Announcements: Saturday, May 26 th Resentment Bonfire!
