This appendix lists a few. This is by no means an exhaustive list, nor an endorsement of services by the Department of Public Health or by Jane Doe Inc. Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. Start by contacting Jane Doe Inc. MCASADV and other members of the coalition (rape crisis centers and domestic violence programs in Massachusetts listed below). Jane Doe Inc. MCASADV can provide technical assistance to you as you develop your presentation. The Jane Doe Resource Center at the Coalition offices in Boston has written resources, including training materials, that you can use. The Coalition s Educators Caucus, which includes Community Educators from many member organizations, meets monthly to discuss issues, and to share ideas and information. Member organizations (rape crisis centers and domestic violence programs) often have materials they have developed and expertise they can share. Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Abuse and Women with Disabilities Information from the Center for Research on Women with Disabilities (CROWD), a research center whose purpose is to promote, develop, and disseminate information to expand the life choices of women with disabilities. Center for Prevention of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence A non-profit, interreligious educational resource addressing issues of sexual and domestic violence, whose goal is to engage religious leaders in the task of ending abuse and to serve as a bridge between religious and secular communities. The Family and Intimate Violence Prevention Program A program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prevent violence against women through surveillance, research, evaluation of interventions, public awareness activities, and professional training. Family Violence Prevention Fund A national non-profit organization that focuses on domestic violence education, prevention, and public policy reform. Feminist Internet Gateway: Violence Against Women A list of Internet resources on violence against women. Jane Doe Inc. Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Umbrella organization representing the voice of programs serving sexual assault survivors and battered women through the state. National Clearinghouse on Marital and Date Rape Members.aol.com/ncmdr/index.html A network that works to bring about social, legal, political, psychological, economic, and religious change to make intimate relationships truly egalitarian. National Sexual Violence Resource Center A nationally funded initiative established under provisions of the Violence Against Women Act. PAVNet Online: Partnerships Against Violence Network A virtual library of information about violence and youth-at-risk, representing data from seven different Federal agencies. Violence Against Women Office, US Department of Justice An office of the U.S. Department of Justice created to implement the 1994 Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and lead to the national effort to stop domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking of women. Child Abuse and Neglect The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children A non-profit organization that provides assistance to parents, children, law enforcement, schools, and the community in recovering missing children and raising public awareness about ways to help prevent child abduction, molestation, and sexual exploitation. National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information A national resource for professionals seeking information on the prevention, identification, and treatment of child abuse and neglect and related child welfare issues. The National Indian Child Welfare Association An organization that serves American Indian tribes throughout the country by helping to strengthen and enhance their capacity to deliver quality child welfare services.
