2 Kilbryde Hospice is based within the grounds of Hairmyres Hospital in South Lanarkshire and provides palliative care for patients with life limiting illnesses and support to their families. Kilbryde Hospice is Scotland s newest hospice and the construction of the building was fully funded by our fantastic supporters. Our Mission Statement Kilbryde Hospice is a voluntary independent hospice which exists to provide compassionate, specialist palliative care to people with life limiting progressive illnesses and to their relatives and carers. Our services are free and available to those people with palliative care needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, faith, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age or financial means. Our Vision We are committed to providing specialist care of the highest standard for people with a life-limiting progressive illnesses, and aim to add quality and meaning to their life.

3 Our Aims & Objectives Our aim is to improve the lives of people who have a life-limiting progressive illness. Kilbryde Hospice places a high value on dignity, respect, and the wishes of the person who is ill and aims to look after all their needs. Kilbryde Hospice aims to provide an environment for holistic care to enhance quality of life including the relief of pain and distress, whether physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual or social. Care also extends to those people who are close to the patient and into the bereavement period after the patient has died. To increase awareness of Kilbryde Hospice and its services locally. Kilbryde Hospice aims to work in partnership with NHS Lanarkshire, General Practitioners and other service providers in the development of localised palliative care services.

Kilbryde Hospice will be with you every step of the way to support you on your journey and will meet with your organisation as often or as little as you require for advice, support and motivation. It costs us: 10 to provide a patients meals for 1 day 13 to provide one complementary session 24 to deliver one hour of In-Patient Unit Care 50 to provide a Clinical Support Worker for 1 day 80 to provide a Registered Nurse for 1 day 96 for one patient to attend Day Services each day All funds raised from the Corporate Challenge will contribute to the running costs of Kilbryde Hospice to provide support and caring companionship to those on life s most difficult journey. 7 What s next? Networking breakfasts every three months held at Hampden Park to check on progress along with an opportunity to network with other businesses. Details to follow. Set your own fundraising target, what feels right for your organisation. We ask that this is set at 1,000 minimum. We will be holding an Awards Night at Hampden Park to thank all companies for their fantastic efforts in the initiative. This will be at no cost to your organisation. Tables of 10 per company. Various awards will be up for grabs for those who have been involved in the initiative! This is set to be a fabulous event and a true celebration of everyone s efforts.
