Anyone having information to share with the public of upcoming events, or of upcoming events where by Rolling Thunder NC6 could inform the public of who we are, what we do, how to contact us, how to get help, etc., should reach out to Chad We want to Thank Chad for accepting this position and getting involved. 6 Wreaths Across America in Salisbury, NC Unfortunately, it was a rainy day, but all wreaths were received and placed on the head stone of each veteran in the Salisbury cemetary. Thank you to those memberes that were able to participate. NC6 members and attendees to lay wreaths at Salisbury cemetery had an opportunity to see the new Freightliner truck honoring American veteran s December 2018 Page 6 of 10

7 Chapter Support Needed: Table Ceremony: Our Chapter is still looking for a member to be responsibility for Table Ceremony supplies. Ensuring the Table Ceremony supplies are available at each meeting or event, the Chapter plans to present the Table Ceremony. Please contact Ronnie Call for New RT NC6 t-shirt design: our chapter is asking any member to design a new NC6 t-shirt and submit to the chapter for vote. NC6 Chapter Fundraisers: The Chapter is looking to develop a list of fundraisers for 2019, any Members wishing to promote or suggest fundraisers should send the information to Perry Kessler or Ronnie Tuttle. Other Chapter Matters: Iraq & Afghanistan Patches: Patches are available for members, please see Perry Ace Custom Morgan Sewing: If you need patches sewn on to your vest, Edna Morgan, address: morgansewing13@gmail.com T: , C: Ashlee Embroidery: will embroider your NC6 shirts for the Table Ceremony as shown below, located at 1009 Old W Innes St., Salisbury N.C POW/MIA NC License Plates: We need our members to undertake selling the needed license plates to initiate the new North Carolina license plate for cars and motorcycles with the design of POW-MIA. 8 Chapter Hats & Patches: Anyone who would like to get a NC6 Chapter hat or patch please speak with Stan Milby at any chapter meeting or contact Stan Table Ceremony: All member are welcome to participate in the table ceremony. The following attire is required black jeans and a white dress shirt with the following details listed below; Chapter NC6 logo on right & left shoulders, POW-MIA on each cuff, POW/MIA pins on right/left side of collar, and Black buttons (replacing the white buttons). Practices are 3:00 pm prior to Chapter monthly meeting. All members are welcomed to participate. December 2018 Page 8 of 10

9 Other Matters: Veteran s Coffee: are held every 8:30 10:30 am, Richard Childress Racing, on 236 Industrial Dr., Lexington, NC contact Don or Don.Timmons@HospiceCareCenter.org 50/50 Raffle: We will be bringing back the 50/50 raffles to chapter meeting s in an effort to support chapter activities and not having to dip into chapter funds needed for veteran activities. Rolling Thunder NC Chapter President s meeting is scheduled for January 26 th a major topic will be to discuss the NC license plate program and what the next steps should be. Perry will give us an update in February. Receive VA disability claim decisions in 30 days or less: The address below is the US Department of Veterans Affairs link to disability compensation address: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP): Meredith Swafford was invited to this month s NC6 chapter meeting to accept a donation of $1800 in honor of KJ Stimpson. KJ Stimpson s family was in attendance for the presentation: Kenneth (KJ s Dad), Susan (KJ s Mom), April (KJ s sister) and Lee (KJ s Uncle). Meredith gave a short presentation of AFSP mission, background on how she got involved, what the local group does, how the local group supports local recipients, and what the foundation uses the monies donated for, keeping the focus on local recipients. Wreaths Across America: Perry Kessler highlighted the problems that have occurred and how the Wreaths Across America organization has changed over the years. Suzy King-Burgess also added comments what she observed at a veteran s cemetery in VA which also uses Wreaths Across America. Perry is recommending we look into purchasing the wreaths from local NC farmers to fulfill the December 2018 Page 9 of 10

10 wreath placements n headstones. Any chapter member that would like to participate should contact Perry (contact information above). From National: Rolling Thunder National is asking members to make suggestions to improve the organization. Provide any suggestion/recommendation in writing to Perry Kessler to submit to RT National.
