The annual Kaleidoscope Raffle s proceeds benefit all Chi Omega s Kaleidoscope s charities, including The Center, various scholarships, and the Chi Omega Foundation. 3 Sheridan Gabrisch Selected as Fulbright Award Recipient Sheridan Gabrisch, former GH of Rho Epsilon at Texas Christian University and Class of 2015 graduate, has been selected as a recipient of the Fulbright United States Student Award. Beginning in January 2016, Sheridan will travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to be trained as a representative and cultural ambassador of the United States to help enhance the mutual understanding between Americans and the people of Malaysia. The Fulbright Program will allow Sheridan to experience cultural differences of the Malaysian people through direct interaction on an individual basis in the classroom, field, home, and in normal routine. Sheridan will join over 100,000 Fulbright Student Program alums, who have undertaken grants since the program began in Keely Thorne Honored at Easter Seals Hats Off To Mothers During Easter Seals Annual Hats Off To Mothers luncheon, their largest event of the year, Keely Thorne, Phi Gamma, will be honored by the organization for her outstanding service to the community and especially to those with special needs. Keely has devoted much time to creating lifechanging solutions so that people with disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our community. As an accomplished event planner and mother of two, Keely selflessly gives back to Houston s children and their families. Easter Seals is a leading non-profit provider of services for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.

4 Dear sisters in Chi Omega, Welcome to the Chi Omega Alumnae Association of Houston! I am absolutely honored to be serving as your President for the year. We have such a wonderful fellowship of sisterhood through serving our community, gathering for our general meetings, or just getting together with one of our fun interest groups. There is a place for everyone! This year, we are looking forward to bringing you many opportunities to get involved and connect with one another. Our website is always evolving, so take a few minutes to check out our upcoming events, Kaleidoscope happenings, and ways to get involved! The first step to connecting with fellow alumnae is by joining the Alumnae Association of Houston. Joining is easy and can be done through the website (click on the Become a Member button). Setting up your profile and preferences just takes a few minutes. Also, be sure to follow us on Facebook for the latest news, happenings, and photos. As a member of the Alumnae Association, and by completing your online profile, you will be invited to all of our events, which encompass sisterhood, philanthropy, and fun! Your membership does not require any mandatory meetings; however, you will have access to all of our programming, special interest groups, and gatherings. This allows you to do as much or as little as you chose. We have programs including Night Owls, book club, Chow Omega lunches, several Kaleidoscope events committees, volunteer opportunities with The Center, shopping parties, general meetings / programming, collegiate recruitment involvement, and so much more! If you have any questions about how to join the Chi Omega Alumnae Association of Houston, or how to renew your annual membership, feel free to myself or our membership chair, and we will be happy to answer any of your questions. Your membership in the Chi Omega Alumnae Association of Houston helps to ensure continued support for our local philanthropy, The Center; as well as assists in providing scholarships for Houston area collegiate Chi Omegas; contributes to recruitment and chapter needs; and brings the alumnae association relevant and interesting programs.
