11 11. International Youth day, Astha Foundation International Youth day will be celebrated all across the world on 12th August We are planning to create a movement by bringing 300 or more volunteers to work together on the streets of St John's NL and join local communities to help create awareness. We will have two divisions of volunteers working for this event: 1. Volunteers will go door to door and collect donations i.e. food, cash, clothing, etc. They will deliver the donations they collect to local food bank and charities. This event will mainly focus to create awareness that if youth unites together, they can make a noticeable impact. 2. Volunteers will spend the day in local community homes to create a physical circle of support. This will give the volunteers an opportunity to engage in community learning experience. Volunteers will be provided with a branded T-Shirt, Lunch & Refreshments, and a certificate for participation. Our foundation is called "Astha Foundation" a youth-focused marketing and event planning company that trains youths who face barriers to employment to act as brand ambassadors at the events as well as provide them with proper training in the marketing field. If you are: looking for opportunities to give back to your community, meet new people and have new experiences seeking professional development opportunities to build skills and training looking for hands on experience in the marketing field Well then, this is just the right event for you! Some positions are short in duration while others require a longer commitment. The time, location and skill requirements vary from job to job. A representative from Astha Foundation will work with you to gain an understanding of your volunteer expectations and determine which position is best suitable for you. When you become a volunteer with the Astha Foundation, your volunteer engagement experience is important to us. We invest in our volunteers through training to maximize learning and development opportunities, limit risk and stand out as the preferred volunteer of choice. On August 12th,2017, you will act as brand ambassadors of all youth over the world and represent unity and love - helping each other by putting effort and their skill-set to work. This will encourage more youth to come forward to help one another. If we can help one person - it

12 is a start, that matters! Come join us and help create this movement. Sign up here: form?ts=59777f86&edit_requested=true We thank all volunteers who participate towards this vision. for more details or quarries at ar3715@mun.ca

There are 14 groups in the St. John s area that you could join, including a new French Language Group that is in development.
