Potato / Root Vegetable Processing - Max. allowable dosage 42 ppm. Boiler Water Additives - Max. allowable dosage 150 ppm. (future potential for development products based on structural similarities).

15 KEY PINTS Foam control agent and foam causing agent are a matched pair. So a particular type of foam control agent may not be effective with certain types of foam. PAGs are generally effective with starch breakdown products, saponins and the like. owever, the materials should always be evaluated in realistic conditions. PAGs are generally considered to be antifoams that prevent foam formation, rather than defoamers, though they have a degree of both characteristics Most of our Foam control agents are effective from about 5 to 10 Celius above 1% cloud point. The performance peaks then decreases with temperature as the dispersibility decreases. Effective operating temperature depends on ionic strength of the medium, which can suppress the cloud point. For example bottle wash systems have high Na concentrations. Predispersion in cold water is often very effective for dosing. Different types of antifoam / foam control agents often work synergistically. So our products can be effective alone, but are often formulated with other chemical type antifoams, defoamers and mechanical foam breakers (e.g silicas).
