Also, the course demonstrates the mechanisms of pathogenicity of microbial infections. Throughout the course students are able to understand the microbial infections of skin, eye, digestive, nervous, respiratory and genitourinary systems. (C) Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to: 1) Describe the host-parasite relationship. 2) Discuss the epidemiology and type of infectious diseases. 3) Recognize different carriers and methods of diseases transmission. 4) Evaluate the microbial infectious diseases which invade different body system and mechanisms of pathogenicity through secretion of toxins, enzymes and pathogenic factors.
