2 Explains the fundamentals of physicochemical activities of the senses using physical media of information (sound and electromagnetic waves).w Determines the physical basis for non-invasive and invasive imaging methods Differentiates the construction of amino acids, nucleoside, monosaccharides, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, which are part of macromolecules present in cells, extracellular matrixes and body fluids, differentiate vitamins;.w7.++.w9.++ Skills s a result of the course a student is able to: Predicts the direction of biochemical processes in individual clinical states; Uses knowledge of the laws of physics to describe issues related to the biology of cells, tissues and physiological processes, in particular to explain the influence of external factors, such as temperature, gravity, pressure, electromagnetic field and ionizing radiation on the human body; Estimates the harmfulness of a dose of ionizing radiation and applies to radiological protection rules. Biochemical processes determining life: catabolism and anabolism carbohydrates, fatty acids, proteins and nucleotides. Major metabolic pathways and metabolism control mechanisms. Vitamins, their structure, biochemical functions and role in the body. Regulate and integrate metabolism at cell, tissue and body level. Metabolic strategies. Exercises: Basic characteristic reactions of amino acids, proteins, simple and complex carbohydrates. Catabolism of chains of carbon amino acids leading to: acetyl-co and Krebs cycle metabolites, certain metabolic defects of catabolism amino acids phenylketonuria, Tyrosinemia, albinism, lkaptonuria 8. mmonia detoxification-urea synthesis and glutamine synthesis, urea cycle localization, enzymes, reactions, regulation, energy consumption, hyperammonemia 9. mino acids as a source of other biologically active compounds: creatine, nitric oxide, carnitine, thyroxine, Triiodothyronine 0. Synthesis and catabolism of heme, Porphyria, bilirubin formation, bilirubin-free-liver and conjugated-hepatic, bilirubin transformation products in the gastrointestinal tract, jaundice.
