Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, and fatal periarteritis nodosa attributed to hypersensitivity to iodide has been described. Chronic Potential Health Effects: Ingestion: This product contains Potassium Iodide. Prolonged or repeated ingestion of iodides may lead to iodism which ischaracterized by salivation, nasal discharge, sneezing, conjunctivitis, fever, headache, laryngitis, bronchitis, stomatits, parotitis, anemia, and skin rashes. Chronic ingestion may also affect metabolism (anorexia), and thyroid gland (hypothyroidism, goiter). Furthermore, chronic ingestion of iodides (in animals) during pregnancy has resulted in fetal deaths, severe goiter and cretinoid appearance of the newborn. Skin: This product ontains Chloroplatinic acid. Prolonged or repeated skin contact with Chloroplatinic acid may cause sensitization (allergic skin reaction). Inhalation: This product ontains Chloroplatinic acid. Prolonged or repeated inhalation of mist which contains Chloroplatinic acid may cause asthma attacks in sensitized persons. Section 12.
