1 Anigane Broiler Trials Summary results of Anigane trials conducted with Bartter poultry Trial Dates: May - June 2004 Location: Griffith, Australia Duration: 7 days 24 hours a day Method and Results: Birds for the four trial groups were derived from the same breeding stock and were housed in the same controlled environment shedding. The application rate of Anigane was 1:500. Treated Group PIF value 7% better control. FCR of the treatment group 7.83% better than control.
2 A SERIES OF EXPERIMENTS USING ANIGANE WERE CONDUCTED BY THE POULTRY HUSBANDRY RESEARCH FOUNDATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY, NSW, AUSTRALIA A series of experiments using Anigane were conducted for Rural Chemical Industries Pty. Ltd. by the Poultry Husbandry Research Foundation of the University of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. The first trial was carried out in the Environmental Control Laboratory. Birds held at 20.5 C and 75% humidity for the last 3 weeks of their growing period showed significant liveweight gains when their drinking water was medicated with Anigane (at 1 ml per 750 ml of water). Feed conversion efficiency was also improved. Day 1 Day 31 No Treatments Initial Week l Week 2 Week 3 (Ending Day 52) Feed Intake g/bird/day Body Weights g Cumulative Feed Conversion Untreated Controls ANIGANE-TREATED GROUP (4 REPLICATES) Untreated Controls ANIGANE-TREATED GROUP Untreated Controls ANIGANE-TREATED GROUP The second experiment was a floor trial involving about 1700 chickens in groups of 420 (each divided into 6 replicates of 70 chickens), The experiments lasted seven weeks and three levels of Anigane were tested for their effects on:
3 * Mean Liveweight Gain * Feed Intake * Feed Conversion Efficiency * Water Consumption N.B.; 1. Birds were commercial strains of broiler chickens. 2. All diets were standard commercial mixes. Mean Liveweight Gain (g) Day 1 - Day 49 Mean Food Intake (g) Day 1 - Day 49 Untreated Controls 1829 ANIGANE-TREATED GROUPS (6 Replicates of 70 Birds) 1904 Untreated Controls 3714 ANIGANE-TREATED GROUPS 3741 F,C,E. (g/food to g/gain) Day 1 - Day 49 Untreated Controls 2302 ANIGANE-TREATED GROUPS 1967 Results In all Anigane-treated birds there were mean liveweight gains, and a meaningful improvement in Feed Conversion Efficiency. The best results were obtained when Anigane was administered at the rate of 1 ml per 1500 ml of drinking water. Hourly shed temperatures were recorded during the floor trial, and conditions were typical of shed conditions in commercial growing environments in the Sydney area during July and August, (Late afternoon peak temperatures ranged from 20 C to 25 C for 85% of the trial days. Early mornings ranged from 50 C to 10 C on 94% of the days, 5 C was recorded on 52% of days.) Conclusions Adding Anigane to the drinking water will produce additional weight gains in commercial broilers of at least 3% - and more probably 5% to 6%. Later field experience has confirmed these results. The optimum dosage level is 1 ml Anigane to 1500 ml drinking water. Higher levels do not produce correspondingly better results.

9 ANIGANE BROILER TRIAL - AL AIN POULTRY FARM, UAE (Translation of report as received) 1. Birds were introduced to environmental control sheds at one day old, fed broiler starter then broiler finisher diet. Anigane medication was via the drinking water. 2. T1 Group (22,275 birds) received water only. T2 Group (22,275 birds) received water plus Anigane at the rate of 1ml per 750 ml of the drinking water. 3. Relative humidity was 65%. The temperature in both houses was as follows: First week C Second week Third week Fourth week Fifth week Sixth week The average weight of T1 at one day old was g/m., where the average weight of T2 was 36.1 g/m. Results: The following table shows the feed conversion rate and the average weight respectively per week.
