3 Preface Dear Colleagues, It is our pleasure to invite you to the Expertise in Interlocking Nailing which will be held in Krakow, Poland, this year. The forthcoming meeting will focus on the treatment of complex fractures and provide information and education on the latest treatment options. Borderline indications for nails in fracture treatment will be addressed and tips and tricks on how to master difficult surgical situations will be included. Interactive case discussions with renowned speakers, video presentations and instructional workshops on sawbones will give ample opportunities to share expertise and learn from each other. The scientific programme features lectures on proximal humerus fractures, femoral neck and trochanteric fractures on the first day. The second day focuses on the treatment of shaft and distal femoral fractures as well as salvage cases and how to deal with infections.
