2 (ACN ) CAPABILITY STATEMENT Our History was formed in 1999 by Louise Steinman, Director & Physiotherapist to primarily provide physiotherapy services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). held contracts for physiotherapy services across the ACT & Southern NSW from , employing 5 physiotherapists (in addition to the Director) across several Australian Defence Force Health facilities at Canberra Area Medical Unit- Duntroon, HMAS Albatross (Nowra, NSW) & HMAS Creswell (Jervis Bay, ACT). Previously, as an independent contractor, Louise Steinman provided Physiotherapy services at RAAF Wagga (Wagga Wagga, NSW from ) & the Duntroon/ADFA Medical centre ( ). established an Animal Physiotherapy practice- Four Foot Physiotherapy in 2001, providing specialist Animal Physiotherapy services to the Canberra & Southern NSW region, working on location at several different veterinary hospitals (Canberra Vet Hospital, Hall Veterinary Hospital, Gungahlin Vet Hospital, Queanbeyan Vet Hospital & North Nowra Veterinary Hospital, as well as providing a mobile service. Due to expansion, (trading as Four Foot Physiotherapy) formed a strategic partnership with the Animal Emergency Centre - Canberra, at their Braddon location in 2004, enabling a central base for services for those clients not associated with partnered Veterinary practices. Four Foot Physiotherapy relocated within the new centrally located; purpose built premises of the AECC at Fyshwick was rebranded in 2009 to Capital Animal Physiotherapy. has also offered consultancy services to Occupational Health provider, HealtheWork, in Deakin, providing case management, occupational evaluation & rehabilitation; as well as development of course material & on-site lecturing at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Campus. Our company has expanded from provision of physiotherapy services, consultancy work, occupational health provider & academic consultancy to the establishment of Bungendore Physiotherapy & Sports Care in early This enabled the Director, Louise Steinman, to offer services to the growing town of Bungendore & surrounding regions, initially within the Bungendore Medical Centre and due to demand, expanding into a stand-alone practice in January The rapid growth of Bungendore Physiotherapy & Sports Care has been due to the establishment of a committed clientele, strong community presence & exceptional standard of care, provided at a local level by experienced, professional staff. Bungendore Physiotherapy & Sports Care continues to experience exceptional growth, with the addition of another 3 physiotherapists across this year & further administrative staff. looks forward to expansion of the company into other Health care ventures, the most exciting being the establishment of a new Physiotherapy practice at the Medical Centre within the Majura Park precinct at Canberra Airport. This will involve our own purpose-built facility, including designated rehabilitation gym & Clinical Pilates gym, to provide care to both corporate & individual clients from across the Canberra region. Our Mission Our mission is to provide first class Physiotherapy services & health care to our clients, to maximise their return to activity after injury & enable them to achieve the optimal activity level to keep them Fit- for life! regardless of their age or abilities. We achieve this by providing our clients with excellence in clinical skills, customer service & ongoing support with lifestyle programs to enhance their optimum health outcomes. Our long-term success relies on the strength of our service, combined with our experience in quality business practices across a range of corporate, private enterprise & Defence environments.
3 CAPABILITY STATEMENT Overview is a health consultancy company committed to the provision of world-class Physiotherapy & health services to both humans & animals. We have consulted to the Australian Defence Force, private enterprise, academia, and occupational health providers. Our current practices (Bungendore Physiotherapy & Sports Care and Capital Animal Physiotherapy) have shown rapid growth and we continue to provide our clients, both human & animal, with quality, professional care. We provide solutions using the latest Evidence Based Practice, combined with extensive experience (currently our combined experience exceeds 60 years!) and a genuine interest in optimizing the health, work & activity levels of all our clients. The following information concentrates on the human physiotherapy side of our company. Key Personnel Louise Steinman Director, Sports Physiotherapist & Animal Physiotherapist Bachelor of Physiotherapy (1991), Masters Sports Physiotherapy (1999), Masters Animal Studies (Animal Physiotherapy) (2004), MAPA Louise is an experienced physiotherapist with over 20yrs of clinical practice across a wide range of areas including orthopaedics, musculoskeletal & manual therapy, hand therapy, work injuries & rehabilitation, with a passion for sports physiotherapy & maximising function for people of all ages & activity levels. Louise has an extensive background in exercise conditioning, specialised rehabilitation for occupational (work) injuries as well as neurological & surgical rehabilitation. Louise has a special interest in equestrian sports with the integration of horse & rider and can treat both, either separately (through her animal practice Capital Animal Physiotherapy ) or as a unit, looking at optimising performance of both horse & rider. Louise s expertise includes sports coverage at a state, national & international level with various sports (rugby, triathlon, endurance sports) & multisport events (Arafura Games, Masters Games). She has provided physiotherapy services for many years to Defence Force personnel at RAAF Wagga, Kapooka, ADFA, Duntroon, HMAS Albatross & Creswell, and Army Parachute Training School and has specialised rehab skills in the functional requirements of Defence personnel. Louise is a consultant rehabilitation physiotherapist & rehabilitation provider across a wide range of work areas & can perform specific workplace assessments (for office setups or manual labour assessments) as required. Sport screenings & general posture assessments are also her specialty (including bike setups, horse-riding assessments, & running analysis) to identify areas that may predispose to injury and where some pro-action intervention can maximise sporting performance & prevent injuries occurring in the first place.

5 Other Personnel & Experience Ray Ellett (Senior Physiotherapist) Bachelor Applied Science (MedSci) (Hons), Masters Physiotherapy, MAPA Ray joined us in January 2011, as we expanded into our new Bungendore premises. He has had extensive private practice experience, including gym-based conditioning, Work-fit programs, & all aspects of sports physiotherapy & sports specific rehabilitation. Ray is an avid sportsperson, participating in Ironman triathlons & cycling touring. Previously a medical research scientist, Ray now applies his analytical skills to achieving the best outcomes for his patients. Ray also spent time in the Army, and thus has specific knowledge of Defence Force work & physical requirements to optimise rehab outcomes. Hallie Butcher (Physiotherapist) Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), MAPA Hallie has extensive private practice sports & general physiotherapy experience including management of complex workers compensation patients. She has completed further studies in Clinical Pilates, dry needling (musculoskeletal acupuncture), advanced physiotherapy techniques & has just commenced her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through La Trobe University. Her expertise includes posture & movement assessment with Clinical Pilates programs & classes, dry needling, kinesiotaping & sports physiotherapy. Hallie also has a keen interest is in animal physiotherapy & is an integral part of our sister practice Capital Animal Physiotherapy treating animals (horses & dogs) with Louise, as well as being involved with our Equestrian services program for riders. Kerry Schneider (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist) Bachelor Applied Science (Physiotherapy), Post Grad Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy, MAPA Kerry joined us in September and her experience is second to none, having worked in all areas of physiotherapy and specialised practice as a Musculoskeletal (Manip.) Physiotherapist. Her expertise in all spinal related problems, as well as complex musculoskeletal cases, has been honed with over 30 years of clinical practice. Kerry, together with the rest of our team, brings our combined experience at Bungendore Physiotherapy & Sports Care to over 60 years! Kerry s equestrian background further complements our practice, with our unique emphasis on the care of horse riders across all disciplines. Our Equestrian program is the only one on offer in the Canberra region! The services we are able to provide for riders are just part of our Sports & general Physiotherapy expertise: skilled, experienced Physiotherapists who have a passion for ensuring optimal function & performance for their clients whatever their activity level or sport!
