Prince Willem Alexander and Princess Maxima Analyzed according to the Twelve Goodfield Personality Types by Prof. Barry A. Goodfield, Ph.D.

Lecture in The Netherlands Eindhoven February 25, 2013 A lot of people in The Netherlands asked me to analyze the soon to be King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima. Before I do that I want to give a short explanation about the Goodfield Method and the twelve patented Goodfield Personality Types. The Goodfield Method teaches us how the unconscious mind can be seen and understood on all levels of human experience. Unconscious messages from the body can, in fact, be seen through uncontrollable Non-Verbal Leak, which manifest in a person s facial expressions or mannerisms. Because this leak comes from the unconscious, there is absolutely no way an individual can control, modify or prevent its appearance. Accordingly, these signs are consistent, repeatable, and predictable. Whether in the boardroom or through personal interactions, our lives are profoundly influenced by the unconscious messages we send through our nonverbal behavior. The Goodfield Method explains: How to recognise the Non-Verbal Leak, How to analyse the meaning and significance of the Leak, and The appropriate actions to take regarding this information.
Some practical examples include: In therapy, a practitioner would utilize The Goodfield Method to quickly determine a specific problem area that needs work. In business, an executive would utilize The Goodfield Method to better understand and deal with employee and productivity issues, or use the insights gained from an adversary s leak during a difficult negotiation. In personnel selection, the interviewer gets a clearer understanding of the candidate and, therefore, significantly increases the probability of getting the right person for the right job. In law enforcement, The Goodfield Method can be used to tell if a suspect is lying or withholding information. The Non-Verbal Leak (NVL) The Non-Verbal Leak is one of the key concepts of the Goodfield Method. The NVL is a repetitive, patterned movement from the shoulders up, reflecting one or more unresolved Perceived Traumatic Events and manifesting one or more old decisions and strategies. It is a way of looking at the strategies that the individual presents in his total nonverbal behaviour. The sequence of the NVL is established from video. Remember that it is observable, testable and verifiable. A video can be rewound and played over and over again. If needed in slow motion or even frame by frame if needed. This helps to uncover movement that (sometimes) cannot be seen with the naked eye.
The Non-Verbal Leak (NVL) Because it is a repetitive pattern it is essential that we see the same NVL two or three times. Therefore a 15 second video can be enough to derive the NVL. What is also worth mentioning is that changes in the face (or steps in the NVL) can take place very rapidly. Typically change can take place between one frame and the next one. One frame takes about 1/24 of a second or 50 milliseconds! Ability to read the NVL makes it possible to: Read the earlier unconscious database Profile the personality type Infer the basic response to major events Predict what will happen Over the years unique and distinctive patterns of response have resulted in research and development of the 12 Goodfield Personality Types. The core of the Goodfield Method is the observable conscious and unconscious movements reflecting our deeper message and meaning.
The Non-Verbal Leak is the referential level of behavior. The SL1, SL2 and SL3 is the Symbolic Level. First there is the video from which the NVL is deduced. Next the symbolic decoding of the NVL takes place. This is where the basic strategies are deduced and a practical plan is made to resolve the presenting conflict. There are three ways in which the Symbolic Level may be defined: SL 1 : Impact; the impact is the person s first recording of a stimulus entering his system. SL 2 : Primary Emotion; the primary emotion is how the person initially would like to respond to a perceived stimulus. SL 3 : Coping strategy; the coping strategy is as it suggests, is the ultimate way in which a person decided to react to a perceived event. Because you (the reader of this lecture) was not present I include less slides of the analyze of Prince Willem Alexander and Princes Maxima, in the interest of brevity and an emphasis on clarity of the technical details.

WHAT WE CAN ANTICIPATE FROM THE NEW KING AND HIS QUEEN? This is an interesting couple in the finest sense of the word. This a team effort. With Prince Alexander there is an openness which is given a more focused guidance by Princess Maxima. This is not to say that the future King is without his own power, opinion and a sense of direction. It is to say however, that the strengths and power of the soon to be Queen adds additional strength and guidance for the future King. This truly is a strong alliance made even stronger by the future Queen s sense of direction and strong insights into people and power. Prince Alexander will guide The Netherlands with caution and good judgment. He will certainly seek the council of his strong and talented wife. As a team they will show a united face. And actually become one of the most popular royal family in Europe today. They are a blend of contemporary values. Strong energy made even stronger by their relationship and years together. They are a pleasant power couple perfectly fitted for the challenges this new century offers. This will be a refreshing and interesting time for the people of Holland. I believe that one can anticipate an even more robust interaction between the Royal Family and the Parliamentary system in which they are involved. Both real and symbolic.
