SPECIALIST SERVICES UPDATE January 2019 2019 During 2018 Bass Coast Health Medical Specialist service saw the commencement of a number of new Surgeons and Physicians in line with expanding services

1 SPECIALIST SERVICES UPDATE January During 2018 Bass Coast Health Medical Specialist service saw the commencement of a number of new Surgeons and Physicians in line with expanding services to Phillip Island through the Health Hub. As we embrace 2019 BCH is committed to continuing this growth and strengthening partnerships between GPs, Medical Specialist, the Health Service and the community. This includes education forms and regular communications, so that you have the up to date details of who is consulting and operating in the area. We welcome your feedback on this update and on the Medical Specialist service in general. WELCOME! We welcome the following new specialist to BCH: Scott Pearce Bass Coast Health welcomes Dr Scott Pearce, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in all aspects of gynaecological health, including: complex gynaecological conditions Advance Laparoscopic Surgery Fertility and IVF Wonthaggi: 8 Feb 9am-12pm Cowes: 8 Feb pm P: F: NEW FAX NUMBER Please note that there is a new fax number for referrals to Medical Specialists at Bass Coast Health We ask that you please update your contacts. Thank you Urology at the Phillip Island Health Hub! Did you know that Anita Clarke and Owen Niall have expanded their services to the Phillip Island Health Hub? Both Consultant Urologists are available at the Hub every 4 weeks. With their services in Wonthaggi and Leongatha there is a consultant Urologist in the catchment once a week! See page 6 for Anita and Owen s details. The urology services are Bass Coast Health is also support by our Clinical Nurse Consultants and Nurse Practitioners. Anita Clarke is working with our Nurse Practitioner, Di Jones to set up Urodynamic service which will investigate issues relating to the bladder, in order to help treat incontinence. Please note a GP referral is required for this service via the BCH Intake Clerk, faxed to Continence Clinical Nurse Consultant Mandy Gennaccaro also offers consultations to men, women and children of all ages who are experiencing a range of bowel and bladder issues.
