10 2-1-1 serves people in times of need Veteran receives help A woman called Butte from another county seeking help for her elderly father who is a veteran and a Butte County resident. The Information Specialist was able to identify available resources for the father based on the information the caller provided. The Specialist referred the caller to an agency that provides housing assistance for veterans, to food pantries and free meals in the father s community, and to an Alzheimer s dementia screening program. Help for Land Owner A Butte County land owner called when he discovered squatters on his land in east Oroville. The Information Specialist referred him to an agency that offers free legal information and assistance for notification and eviction processes.

Working with partners like Butte 211 greatly benefits our organization s efficiency and streamlines our process by eliminating duplicate services. Both HelpCentral.org and are outstanding local resources that we use and refer constantly and are thankful for their existence in our community!
